I honestly don't see anything wrong or desperate about cybering, but it definitely shouldn't be hosted or solicited on a PG-13 site such as this. The worst I could think it could do is spark child pornography, seeing as it can be hard to tell someone's age online.

I don't think a court would consider it child pornography.

Not child pornography but I believe distributing sexual material to a minor is also illegal... I THINK. I'm not 100% sure

Honestly I don't see a problem with that, I personally get my jollies in more conventional ways, but if that is what that person finds best at the time then I see no reason to mock them.

My only real problem with cybering, because to be honest I've tried it twice to try to understand the hype, was that those involved seemed for the most part unncreative and rather devoid of talent. At their skill level with RPing it seems that most cyberers are just minors that do not have convenient access to porn or are otherwise bored of what they do have access to.

What is there to be sure about? Of course it's illegal, it's the equivalent of giving out cigarettes or booze.

Well I don't have the exact document outlining the fact that it is illegal, and I don't usually pay attention to law changes and such, so I can't be 100% sure, but I'm sure enough to argue the point.

As for Deadly Danish, I really wouldn't be surprised if a lot of cyberer's are in fact minors, but then again that might come from me wandering around the towns for too long.

But seriously, I don't believe cybering is a problem. On the internet in general, even over instant messengers, 'sexy texting', or phone sex, if that counts as cybering. (?)

In PM's I don't think it's an issue. But on Gaia..? Maybe in your own gaia home, but even then. Out in towns? lol Usually trolls.

Most [if not, the majority] participating here are underage. However, in a semi anonymous internet setting just about anything goes, as far as lying about your identity. Although now that I'm nearly 20 I make it a point of figuring out how old someone is before getting into anything too deep. [It's usually pretty indicative though, by typing skills and command of correct spelling andor grammar the general age group.]

Toxic has a lot of valid and well thought out points. It's true that children shouldn't be exposed to 'indecent' [which I'm going to leave vague] sex acts online.
