Well that's the thing about the Filipine dialects... they don't have that big of an alphabet and... they don't have a lot of words that would mean something in english. So they use the english term instead.

Whenever my mom speaks, I can figure out what she's talking about because of that.

My mom always speaks English, except the time she went to visit her parents for a while, and she came back and started yelling at us in Tagalog. We were like, "O_O Whut?" and she just kept getting shriller and shriller until she finally realized no one could understand her. It was kinda freaky, since I was a little kid at the time. >.<
