I am for circumcising you. And the foreskin is much more than a piece of skin, read this from Dr. Dean Edell

What Is The Purpose Of The Foreskin?

The foreskin has three known functions: protective, sensory, and sexual.

During infancy, the foreskin is attached to the glans and protects it from urine, feces, and abrasions from diapers. Throughout life, the foreskin keeps the glans soft and moist and protects it from trauma and injury. Without this protection, the glans becomes dry, calloused, and desensitized from exposure and chafing.

Specialized nerve endings in the foreskin enhance sexual pleasure.

I don't care what other people do.
I'm getting my sons circumcised though.
          That's my belief.
I respect other people's beliefs, so they should respect mine.

Might I suggest getting your clitoral hood cut off first, so you can see how it feels and how much you like having over 60% of your sexual pleasure taken away from you, all because it looks better.

question
She's doing it because of her belief not looks.
Respect that, as I do.
I agree with you though, I believe that circumcision is wrong - but I don't like to force my opinion on anybody especially when they've already asked politely to understand theirs.

I would like to know her reason, I would bet anything, its going to be something like "its cleaner" "its healthier" "it looks better" or something like that.

Disrespecting other people's choices and decisions and being ignorant completly is both immature and says a lot about wha tkind of person you are. You cant even accept someones own choice about something because its not the same view as yours. She doesnt need to explain to you why, its her choice and decision and you need to learn to accept that, you cant make a decision for everyone else's children you can only make it for yours, and no matter how much you stomp your feet or make silly banners and protest about it, it wont change. Parental Rights, gotta love it.

EDIT: also no offence but your post about specialised nerve endings is a load of bullshist, every party of your skin has never endings, the foreskin is no diffrent and no more special.
Honestly there aren't really any practical reason to do it or not do it. Sensitivity is something you get used to after a while. Of course, I couldn't imagine sex to ever be pleasurable for a woman if men were any more sensitive than they are now. As for looks, honestly I don't find it attractive. I've seen an uncut p***s and...ew. But, as said, children are too young to remember it. And it's not really doing any damage so if the person doesn't regret it, and I've yet to meet anyone who wishes they weren't circumcised, then that's their business.

I personally wouldn't do it my child.
If he wants it when he is older, then I'm totally fine with it.

Do you realize how often people get circumcised as adults? not very often, 80% of the world is uncircumcised, even in the US, its a dying thing

and so its perfectly ok to do anything painful to a baby because they won't remember it, punch it in the face, it won't remember, not comparing the two, but you should get my point

Also, have you seen a video of one being done, just because they won't remember it, does not mean its ok to cause unnecessary pain, just for cosmetic reasons

and another thing, getting it done later in life is fine, thats their choice, but like I said, the vast majority of men, don't do it, and if you were circumcised and want to be uncut, there is nothing you can do to truly get it back

girls are protected from genital mutilation, why are males not? doesn't matter if one is worse, both are a violation of someone elses body, babies are human beings, not property, they should be treated as such

Dang too late.
Lol.
Personally, I could care less either way.
But, to be honest, if you will pardon the sexual explicitness, circumsized men last longer in bed.
In my experience that is.
And it might be due to the fact that circumcision "desensitizes' the p***s.
But, I don't think it makes that much difference honestly.
Edit: If I have a son, I will more than likely have him circumsized if I see fit or if that is what my son's pediatrician suggests.

From the research I have done, being circumcised or uncircumcised has nothing to do with how long someone lasts, thats determined by the guy and various other things.

and here are some links about sexual pleasure

The American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend infant circumcision, most will say its unnecessary, cosmetic surgery.

I am a practically healthy elder teen male whom had the circumcision done as an infant. I don't think anything of it, doesn't bother me in the least that my parents had chosen for me.

I think people should stop bitching either way. If it's done as an infant, then there's nothing you can do. There's hygienic reasons behind it, after all.

I'm circumcised and I'm still very much against the practice. I do wish my parents hadn't had it done to me, and I know several other circumcised males who feel the same. I don't get why people always have this opinion that only uncut males oppose circumcision. Do you think there would be a procedure for foreskin rejuvenation if there wasn't enough demand for it to have been innovated in the first place?

I also don't get this, "parents have the right to make choice for their kids," BS. Sure, they get to make decisions like what brand of diapers they're going to buy, and whether or not to dress them up in ridiculously over-done baby clothes, etc. What other body parts does a parent "have the right" to decide they want to lop off with no real reason other than that they think it's ugly? Any? At all?

Make parents getting their childrens ears peirced illegal then, and the reason why I say most circumcised men are fine with it, is because its reality everyone Ive met so far has been alright with it, why is there a procedure for growing it back? Because of peer pressure, because of people feeling self conscious, people like Mr Ransom going around saying "Parents are mutiliating their childs p***s!" So of course, cut men are going to end up feeling odd and diffrent.

I agree. Parents getting their children's ears pierced should be illegal.

Peer pressure? You think guys typically stand around the locker room jeering each other to have foreskin rejuvenation surgery? Especially considering there's a large majority of cut males in (at least) most southern and mid-western states, I doubt it. And how many men have you actually talked to about their penises? I mean, really. How do you know every male you've met feels one way or the other? I'm not sure what you sexual orientation is, but as far as I'm aware, most straight guys don't do a whole lot of talking about their dicks with other guys. And especially not to admit their dissatisfied with it.

I think the more likely answer is that men want to most possible sensation during sex, and foreskin offers greater sensation. It sounds like a much more logical conclusion as to why it's an appealing option to me.
My fiance's going to choose whether we circumcise any sons or not.

I don't have a p***s, so I leave the choice to someone who does.

Personally, I'd be offended if anyone tried to change our minds/argue that we were horrible for doing it.

My son, not yours and all.
