She was right in not supplying sensitive information to the general public. Especially on a show on Trump's tab.

I must ask, what exactly did she think was going to happen? They were going to ask her some nice, kind, Miss America style softball questions? She even managed to fail those! How exactly did she envision going on Larry King being? I would say this being a publicity stunt is far more likely at this point...

Though I do agree with you for the most part, I don't think it was a publicity stunt. Her book sales were considerably less than they were before she went onto Larry King, this being linked to how she acted on Larry King.
