Buffy VS Twilight

Har sätt alla Buffy avsnitt och läst alla Twilight böcker, skulle säga att film mässigt är det mycket bättre kvalitet på Twilight, och dessvärre skulle Buffy suga som bok, men som ett fan långt tillbaka av Spike och svårigheter med fjollighet så måste jag säga att Buffy är långt mycket bättre än Twilight! (Även om Twilight slog rekord som kärlekshistoria, vilket "Buffy the vampire slayer" INTE är!)

Sure I like Twilight, but I do find the Buffy is way better. It's more interesting, and plus the Buffy series is way better in probably everyway. More action, more chemistry between the characters, no stalking.. Etc..

I must point out that Angelus did sort of stalk Buffy in Season Two and left drawings on her pillow and killed Willow's fish.
But he was evil, and that only lasted half a season.

There is that, but to be fair, the honorable comparison would be Buffy (the film) to Twilight (the film); where Buffy would win by the Luke Perry default wink

If you're comparing TV to Books, I would say they're probably equal in value. Personally I'd go for Buffy, but there's enough meat in the Twilight books for me to say it's a close call.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Why?

Because the television show was created by Joss Whedon, a phenomenal screenwriter.

I wasn't too into Buffy when it was airing, mainly because at the time I was more of an X-men fan. But I've seen most of the first few seasons due to one of my friends being a rabid James Marsters fangirl. That show had some of the best dialogue I've ever been witness to...

...that is until I saw Joss Whedon's Firefly.

Holy Primus, that show rocked my toe socks. Wash and his dinosaurs were the best damn thing ever! And Jayne had the best damn lines.

I saw this on someone's sig and this pretty much sums it all up. I read Twilight and New Moon, but as soon as the series became popular I just couldn't continue reading what everyone else spoiled for me. As for Buffy, the episodes came out each week so no one could spoil it all for me. razz
Although Twilight has a good storyline, it all went downhill from the first book. But with Buffy, even though it did go downhill it was simply because they had too much amazing material in the first couple seasons that they had too much to live up to. But yeah, Buffy and Angel were the original Bella and Edward. But at least Angel's darkside actually came out. I also like the spin-off of Buffy, Angel. I was so mad when Doyle died in the first season! >.< I can't say that much for New Moon.

Hello, I'm lil_augurey, and I'm pro-Buffy the Vampire Slayer. smile

In fact, anything made by Joss Whedon (alias: GOD) I am in favor of!
Even 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' made me squee! (Neil Patrick Harris! heart )

Admittedly, I couldn't get past the first couple of pages of 'Twilight', and I did go see the movie (disappointing in and of itself) and the aspect of the relationships between the Cullen family itself was the only thing I found interesting.

But, Buffy is so much more than Twilight: it's an entire universe shared with the 'Angel' series (David Boreanaz is the epitome of vampire heart ).

The 'BTVS' characters have exponential depth to them compared to the Twilight characters (Indeed, I couldn't continue reading because I thought Bella was a boring, stereotypical Mary-Sue) and there's much more humor to it that drew me into the Buffyverse.

I encourage you to explore more into both 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel' series'. biggrin You won't be disappointed.
