Well its happened, Twilight has no officially become a personal sore on my life.

It seems some Twi-fanatics went nuts inside a book store and vandalised the place with sayings such as "the lion layed down with the lamb" "edward cullen is hotter then Lestate" and the initials of edward and bella's hellspawn all over the place. They also tore apart some books, mostly other vampire books like The Vampire Chronocles and Stephen King works. Bastards! evil

So the bookstore has been closed until repairs can be made and I have to drive another hour or so if I want to buy a book.

And that is how my life (and my general community) has been negatively effected by Twi-fanatics.

What set the them off? What kind of books store is it? Why did it happen?

On a side note, you can order books off the internet and save of gas money.

i haven't the foggiest idea why they did it or what possible justification they might have had but it was a local Borders Book Store. A small one, just kinda sitting on the corner, but I enjoy the atmosphere none the less. Or...I did anyway. I somehow suspect even after they fix the place up it will still carry the vibes of HATRED for sometime before I will be able to properly relax in there once again...sigh... sad

How'd you hear who did it?

Can't they be arrested for that?
Wow,
I mean, what in all of high heaven justifies this action?
They are getting violent over a sub-par book series
Hell, Stephen King said it sucked... Stephen bloody King.
Once you get condemned by the author of It, The Gunslinger, Kujo, and countless others you should give up the ghost.

It is an overused, ill-logical plot. Girl meets vamp, girl find out vamp is vamp, other vamps don't want girl with vamp.

Just more shitty vampire romance stuff.
And people are getting attacked for saying it is what it is?
Shitty romanticized parasites?

Stephen King also condemned the army saying they can't read.

But who would give up what Ghost. Meyer? But why? Just because someone criticize you doesn't mean you quit if anything you try harder.

I'm sure that they can be arrested for vandalism. It's destruction of other's property.

That plot is girl meets boy, girl and boy falls in love, girl and boy can't be together because of outside influence. All stories when you break it down to it's basic level one of sixteen different plots.

I do agree with the fact that someone shouldn't give up because of a negative comment about their work.....

Still, hearing that would be a bit discouraging for me...... sweatdrop

Not me because that would mean your work is well known. If you are being criticize by some as famous as King than that would mean your work is at well known maybe important isn't the right word but something like that. If you would some nobody they would waste their time or breath to say anything. I would be happy to get any kind of comment on my work.
I think Twilight pretty much takes the cake for one of the WORST fandoms ever. Man I feel so sorry for some of you guys. A couple of my good friends are Twilight fans but at least they're still sane. But other out there . . . it's just paper and ink for crying out loud.
i dont know who did it, how or when the situation will be resolved. all i know is i have, for the time being, lost a book store.

in the end i suppose people can obsesse over just about anything. this time they seem to have chosen Twilight. who knows what the new cult trend will be 10 years down the road.

I think it would be less time than that for a new fad to take place.
