I have committed many shameful acts over the course of my life...but I admit that my uncle's betrayal in particular, is without a doubt- one of the things I regret most. He was with me from the beginning, he was more a father to me than the Fire Lord and I think about what I did every day. I can only hope...that when I meet him again, he'll be able to forgive me.

Do you believe he will forgive you? It seems like a ridiculous question, seeing as he is your uncle- practically your father...but things are always more complicated than the seem. Do you believe he will hold some sort of resentment even after he's admitted it's okay?

Though I could never presume to know the way his mind works (nor, would I ever want to...he is, after all a very strange man...) I am most likely one of the few living beings who know as much as is possible to know about him. I am almost certain that with time- he would forgive me, if not almost instantly. Whether or not I deserve such forgiveness is another matter entirely. As for lingering resentment, no I don't believe so. My uncle is not the type to loiter on any such emotions for long as he very well knows that they prove to be detrimental to one's body and soul.
Thank you for the thought-provoking questions Fuhrer Roy Mustang, they have served to make me think about the situation quite in depth.
