I guess I see it as "the little kid loves his babysitter" type pairing. In those pairings the little boy character loves the older woman who acts more like a mother than a lover rather than anything else and she never returns his affection preferring to be his friend and ends up with a guy more her age whom the little boy doesn't like at first but grows to accept. I cite Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame as an example. Although Esmeralda is far from being Quasimodo's babysitter, her feelings for him are of caring friend rather than romantic interest. She ends up with Phoebus whom Quasimodo is angry and spiteful towards at first. In the ending to signal his acceptance of the pairing, he joins the hands of Phoebus and Esmeralda together. That's what I expected for Zutara. I also thought Zutara was the destined pairing because Oma and Shu were a Zutaraesque pairing which paralleled in turn the other Zutaraesque pairing of Twi and La. The Fortuneteller also set up the characters to believe Aang was Katara's match in the end but the precedent in literature for prophecy is that it is never the answer that the characters expect. Zuko fit the criteria for the prophecy and none of the characters in their wildest dreams would have considered him an option. Therefore under all those reasonings Zutara was the expected pairing. Literary precedent dictates that's how it should have gone down and realistically in terms of whom the characters had to connect to, that's what should have happened.

I see what you mean, I suppose I have to agree to that since after Aunt Wuu, I was like... -.- Zuko. I was a hundred percent sure it was going to be him, since Aang's future didn't show anything much like love in the future.

Yeah -__- I still don't get it. The only thing I can account for all this as that part of all the Zutarian things in the show was the result of the material (i.e. the Eastern philosophies of Yin and Yang) lent itself to Zutara but the creators were completely ignorant of it until the shippers who possessed the educational and literary background to know such things pointed it out to them and baiting on the behalf of the writers after they realized how much support Zutara had. The only way to keep the large fanbase of Zutara though they refused to submit to it even if it is a better story (dumbasses) was to keep the idea that Zutara could be canon still alive. You couldn't exactly do that if you had made the other ships better or pronounced them as canon right away. What it leaves you with is crap that only infuriates the fanbase of Zutara more because we know Zuko and Katara should have gotten together and that the other pairings hold no weight.

Yeah, they need to hire people like us to write story lines for them. xD

Because my brand of cheese is the cheesiest and it won't leave you with a rotten taste in your mouth.

What the hell? xD Nah, they'd have to hire all of us, since we all have our preferences in how to write, we need everyone, to write their way, then we bring it together to make a super storyline that will pwn all else that ever was! (Except for Twilight...)

Well I don't write anything normally. I really don't care so much about how the story is written just so long as my plotline and dialogue are kept. I haven't read Twilight but I am pretty confident in my abilities as well as yours that if we teamed up that we could pwn it. It's limited to the first person point of view I have heard as well. I would never limit my story to just the views of one character.

She was limited to only Bella's POV at the time because Edward overthinks EVERYTHING. The first chapter with Edward in it is like, three times as long as Bella's FIRST chapter. But she might publish Edward's POV for the first book, which I hope to God she does, because it will be three times as long and omg... BREAKING DAWN NEEDS TO BE HERE!!! (Plus the third toggles between POVs)

That's how Edward is though, and it's mostly because he's a vampire, Bella is a human, she is insanely attractive to him, by scent and appearance, and he's afraid that he will kill her, since he and his family are 'vegetarians' and only drink animal blood. Bella's blood calls to him but he resists killing her because he loves her. There in lies the overthinking everything part. He has to make sure every movement he makes will not harm Bella, since vampires, in Stephenie's world, are like... super mega more than steriod strong. If he poked her the wrong way he could crush her skull. Oo

Holy cow although I would think he would have mastered his own strength enough to know how much force would be harmful to her unless he is a newly made vampire.

Nope, assuming that the year in the book is 2008, and he was born in 1901 then he'd be 99 correct? 99 and he looks seventeen, lucky little... anyways, it's not so much that he hasn't mastered it, because he has. But when it comes to Bella, he isn't sure how far he can go because before her, he had never loved anyone outside of his family. So when he meets Bella and her scent is the best thing he's ever smelled, he freaks out because he almost attacks her in class! At any moment her scent coud overwhelm him and he could kill her, so he has to be very sure of his movements.

I see. He's not really that old for a vampire. It is possible for a human being to live to that age. Why is he going to high school anyway? I mean seventeen isn't too far off from eighteen. He could get away with not going.

Like I said, they aren't the traditional vampires 'coven' they are more like a human family. They do things together, they hold jobs (or at least Carlisle the father does) they go to school because they want to live a human life, they want to be able to be around humans so they are not limited to staying in populationless places. Like for Alice, she would go crazy without a mall. Jasper has the most trouble around people, but he still goes to school. Anyways, though High School does bore them (especially Edward since he can read minds, if he didn't already know the answer, he could always skim peoples mind to find it out, but he pretty much knows everything, except what Bella thinks) it allows Carlisle to work at the hospital. Yes, he works at a hospital. He and Rosalie have never drank human blood, though Rosalie has murdered seven people because her fiance' and his gang pretty much raped and killed her. Plus, they're all troublemakers, they do something they're not supposed to and they get out of it so easily. ><

Yeah I get the whole trying to be human thing but still, hasn't Edward been through high school before? He's perpetually 17 after all. I would just stop going. I guess if I was a vampire that could pass for eighteen I'd be in college and be like the student who never graduates from there. There you could keep learning all you ever wanted to as opposed to high school that teaches the same crud over and over. Although I suppose eventually someone might catch on that you've been enrolled there for a pretty flipping long time and then there is the whole money issue with that.

Money is not an issue with the Cullens. Alice can see subjective views of the future, meaning it changes depending on the decision of people, but weather is more absolute with her visions. So Alice plays in the stock market, and she knows when to buy and when to sell and what to invest in. Edward actually has two medical degrees and yes they have been to college, or at least it is implied with the others. If you think about it though, it's a good thing he went to High school, since that's where he met Bella. I'm sure he would never meet her randomly on the road, since he speeds... dangerously speeds. ><

I suppose. I don't really know how I feel in terms of the Bella and Edward pairing since I haven't read the books. I have heard some stuff about another pairing between Bella and this werewolf guy that takes place in the second book. There is this fanartist on devart who draws art of it alongside the Avatar art I love.

I see. He's not really that old for a vampire. It is possible for a human being to live to that age. Why is he going to high school anyway? I mean seventeen isn't too far off from eighteen. He could get away with not going.

Yeah, Bella and Jacob. Jacob basically told Bella that Edward was a vampire without his even knowing it, since he didn't believe his dad's words about them being werewolves and the Cullens being vampires. In the second book, Edward leaves because Jasper almost kills Bella because she got a paper cut, and well, that left Bella broken. After he leaves, she leans on Jacob because he's always there to support her. That's where the BellaxJacob thing started forming. Because Jacob does love Bella and Bella does love him, but she loves Edward more. She's torn between the two, but in the end she knows she can't live without Edward, since it's kind of like the Zutara pairing. It shouldn't happen, it's not meant to be, they're opposites, he's a vampire, she's human. Mythical and normal. If you discount the fact that she is a human magnant for danger. -.- Anyways, people like the BellaxJacob pairing because Jacob is still technically human and it makes sense. She could have a family with him.

Bleh, that sounds so Kataang. Ok I probably would end up going against that pairing.
