mcm Kelwyn I'll try to keep this brief because I don't want to start a guild feud, but this is largely my philosophy on Religion and The Unknown. It is my contention that it is okay to not have an opinion on certain issues, because the repercussions for being wrong can be severe. To me this statement says that you need to keep questioning what you "know". It also serves as a reminder that it's important to not insist too loudly or firmly that what you "know" is the only possible answer. S'pretty much where I am. I believe that people are free to believe whatever they want, and that their beliefs and my beliefs are not required to match. Obviously, I wouldn't want to be around people, who, say, believe that they should kill me and molest my corpse, but as far as religious beliefs go, I don't see why we can't believe whatever we want and just get along. I personally don't care if my religion believes that your religion goes to hell. /shrug |

Is it possible to report an ad on Gaia?
There's this one from jnewage.com that minimizes my browser, pops up a "warning" window telling me my system has been infected with viruses/malware, and has a fake window of My Computer with an equally fake scan. No doubt if I let this "scan" continue, it would tell me that I have to download/buy something from their site. Also, when is it appropriate to report a potential Marketplace/trade scammer? He wanted to trade a million-gold item of mine (item A) for an item of his that usually goes for about 50 (item B), but all of item B has been bought up and re-entered into the MP for 1.5 million. He said we should trade, that B does sell for that much, and if my brand-new 50 gold item doesn't sell for 1.5 mil, he will "happily" trade it back. |

Especially when used together with over-inflated marketplace values of said store item. * You can sell for however much you feel, as long as you arent trying to scam people by telling them that the store item is actually worth more or equal to the item that you're trying to trade them for (when it isn't). Nothing with normal market/trading has changed. - Example of what is NOT allowed. "I'll trade my tiki totem for your katana! The tiki is worth more than the katana, see! (link to inflated marketprice)" - Example of what IS allowed. "I'll trade my tiki totem for your katana! If you want to, send trade!" I would tell them that if it sells for one point five, to just sell it and buy your million gold item with pure. rofl |

It's just a really weird concept to me, I guess. sweatdrop It depends on culture, mostly. If a culture is liberal and regards sex as just another level of the handshake, then it might be hard to grasp the concept. But if the culture regards it differently (ie. personal views, or culturally), then that could/would affect the rate of a person performing the act or not. Like, I'm thinking religion-heavy influenced societies which glorifies the act. 3nodding /my 5 cents |
