And another thing!

Who thought up the algorithm when they decided to set the computer up to find the answer for Life, the Universe and Everything? And was the algorithm wrong, thus making the answer that the computer came up with a more plausible one?

Well, you see, you're now asking a question about the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as if it were a real history book instead of a halarious farce, as it was intended to be.

Still for the sake of argument, let's assume Hitchhiker's Guide did make any sort of real sense to begin with.

The algorithm was thought up by Deep Thought himself. You see, Deep Thought HAD to have been so advanced he was not only self-aware, but also able to program himself.

The question of course is wether Deep Thought was programmed right to program himself, which, I'd assume, every effort to test him was made by the interspace buildings who build him.


I'd say that 42, really IS the answer, period, Deep Thought was correct.

Well that depends on your term of cunning.

To me cunning is saying you'll meet a freind who invited himself along with you to someplace, then ditching him by not showing up, getting the rest of your buddies and going drinking.

That's a plan, and by my definition it's cunning, so... yes?

you know, I got a C- in probability in College, so I guess you've stumped me a bit, especially as I never even got to Markov Queues in my classes.

I majored in Computer Science, minored in Literature.

Well, I was unaware of the situtation in Canada and the proposal of tariffs like that.

I'm not really much into current events, and also that seems like it would effect Canada way more than anyplace.

Such a tarriff would only increase the prices of recordable media in Canada. I'm not quite sure what the Canadian government is trying to accomplish with such a move.
