I'll try to keep this brief because I don't want to start a guild feud, but this is largely my philosophy on Religion and The Unknown. It is my contention that it is okay to not have an opinion on certain issues, because the repercussions for being wrong can be severe. To me this statement says that you need to keep questioning what you "know". It also serves as a reminder that it's important to not insist too loudly or firmly that what you "know" is the only possible answer.

S'pretty much where I am. I believe that people are free to believe whatever they want, and that their beliefs and my beliefs are not required to match.
Obviously, I wouldn't want to be around people, who, say, believe that they should kill me and molest my corpse, but as far as religious beliefs go, I don't see why we can't believe whatever we want and just get along. I personally don't care if my religion believes that your religion goes to hell. /shrug

I agree. I believe that, since it's all on faith and there's no way to prove things, it would be conceited of us to believe we know the one true way. I prefer to be open-minded about these things.

Were those from zOMG? Were there any more special items?

I need to read a zOMG thread on how to get these items because I can't seem to figure it out on my own.

You go trick-or-treating in Barton from 6pm to 6am to collect ingredients and recipes (and golds and orbs!). You also hunt down werewolves and vampires and find portals to their lairs in the other areas for more ingredients and recipes (and golds and orbs).
The items to make are Jackies, Werewolf Pup, Night Fright Eyes, and maaaaybe Night Fright Skin.

i have not seen the fright night skin ANYWHERE.

Does anyone have it already?

There's this one from jnewage.com that minimizes my browser, pops up a "warning" window telling me my system has been infected with viruses/malware, and has a fake window of My Computer with an equally fake scan. No doubt if I let this "scan" continue, it would tell me that I have to download/buy something from their site.


Also, when is it appropriate to report a potential Marketplace/trade scammer?
He wanted to trade a million-gold item of mine (item A) for an item of his that usually goes for about 50 (item B), but all of item B has been bought up and re-entered into the MP for 1.5 million. He said we should trade, that B does sell for that much, and if my brand-new 50 gold item doesn't sell for 1.5 mil, he will "happily" trade it back.

gonk Be careful, guys! My sister and I both believe that the viruses that killed our computers were contracted from something floating around Gaia. Of the sites I was browsing that day, it's the only one we have in common. My computer got the icons hijacked so I had to start over from scratch and my sister had to get a new computer completely.

It was his(her?) Monkey Ghost Sheet for my March 2005 donation letter. So that would be a "no" to the store item.
If the person had contacted me again I was going to tell him/her that, and maybe declare that I do not enjoy dealing with scammers. It really seemed like this person was trying to scam me, but was staying just inside the rules.

It depends on culture, mostly.

If a culture is liberal and regards sex as just another level of the handshake, then it might be hard to grasp the concept.

But if the culture regards it differently (ie. personal views, or culturally), then that could/would affect the rate of a person performing the act or not.
Like, I'm thinking religion-heavy influenced societies which glorifies the act.
