Hey, its me again! I need some help, u know my dog dundee right? ( he ate the burrs.....)
Well, there is 1 still stuck on him and it feels like it is attached to his skin but it's really stuck so we can't pull it out and he won't let us. We kan't brush him he hates them, we really can not pull it out, and we want to sedate him but it is like 200$ it is pretty expensive my mom says, we can't take him to a groomers because he doesn't really like people or brushes! We don't know what to do!?

try giving him a bath, it might help lossening the burr. Or if some one can hold him down you can very carefully cut the burr out of his fur.

try giving him a bath, it might help lossening the burr. Or if some one can hold him down you can very carefully cut the burr out of his fur.

Oh and he hates bathes and any objects that come near him and we gave him a bath recenty its a tredition that we give him a bath every time its his b-day and Dundees is on september 5 (he is 14 months) so we cant do that, but thanks for the idea!

i aqgree you need to take a hold of him and i would do it with help of a famliy member and every time he trys to run (flight) corect imemedtly!! soon you have him calm and your all asretively calm your self cut the secment of the burr left, after that clean the spot with bathing wipes (about $20-$30 at pet store) it will help shoth the skin after the irrtation.

THANK'S!! we got the burr out but there is one tiny piece that got left behind and i try to get it out but it is stuck in his furr.

In small quantities, maybe. But dogs and cats have different dietary needs (cats need more protein and fatty acids, dogs can make their own taurine so dont need any in their food, etc), so they should generally stick to food designed for their own species.

Cat food had more portien in thier kind of food. if a dog is to seriously lack enough or is not getting enought vets will mix some of it in regular dog food to help them pick up the wieght. but if they eat cat food all the time they will get very sick.

You shouldn't, dogs love cat food but doesn't have the right stuff in it. Funny story, we were buying canned food for mi dog but my dad didn't look at label and gav it to my dog after we gave it to him we looked at the label there was a cat on it! it was funni!

But, there is this lump on his leg...
Looks like a tick, but i'm unsure about it. My step-dad says he'll bite it off if it is bothering him, but he isn't letting my touch it, and he won't touch it either.
((Unusual because he loves me to death, just the other day he saved me from a dog attack. :] Loyal doggie.))
But my older step-sisters boyfriend says it's a tumor. I swear it's a tick, but he is older and maybe wiser than me. ((I'm 14, he's 21))
So, I have no clue what to do. I could believe it would be a tumor, he is 7 years old. ((And tends to eat all the human food after we're done with it. D:!!)
I know it's going to be hard to determine without pictures, which I could possibly get on the weekend, but I'm just plain worried about him, it looks like it hurts a lot.
If you could suggest anything, let me know!

I asked my mom if she could drive me to the humane socioty and she said "only if you raise 30 dollers." Ha I'm just joking my mom wouldn't say that! But I am raising money to give to them!

Thats a good idea. Its also helps to volunteer at the shelter, they can always use the extra help

I have four rats, and feel I might be able to help a bit.

Once theyve been desexed, theres no problems with keeping males and females together.
It's also completely fine to keep all boys together. Ive got four little lads and they all snuggle together and play wrestling games. If they've still got their balls the can sometimes get a bit moody and start beating on each other and throwing things round (like any teenage boy), but they calm down and become fantastic lap rats.

Ive found females to be more sleek and energetic, and males to be squishier and more content to sit on you and watch tv. My boys often pile onto me and cuddle up to watch DVDs.

If theres anything else you'd like to ask, Im subscribed to the thread and will help where I can. Also, feel free to PM me. I never get tired of talking rat!
