Hello again! It's been a while. ^_^
I hope everyone's pets are doing well!
I've got another question about my Mimi. It's not very major, so this can go at the bottom of your priority list.
Mainly she just needs to be brushed, but when we try to brush her, she attacks it. We don't brush her hard, could it just be that we started brushing her too late in life and she's just like "wtf?" or should we try another kind of brush?
She's got short hair, but sheds an awful lot in all seasons and it irritates my boyfriend's allergies when she rubs all over him(as she is prone to do, he's the only one she SEEKS attention from when he's here).
Try another kind of brush. She may also think you are trying to play. I like the Furminator or the Furbuster which is the walmart knock off. It will help with the shedding.
Try wiping Mimi down with a damp cloth every day. People are actually allergic to cat's saliva, not the fur. Wiping the cat down, removes the saliva from the fur and skin, so they are less allergenic. Sounds weird, but really helps.
Tell your boyfriend to really stare at Mimi. It is hostile toward the cat, but may make her like him less (if that is what you want). Most allergic people look at a cat and then look away, hoping it will not notice them. This is actually inviting the cat to come over.
Hope this helps!
