I'm not certain what I'd think of her morality. I mean she does have some set of morals in that she gets upset when she hurts those she truly cares. I think of her as more of like a person ruled by the Id if you know anything about psychology. She has the emotional maturity of a three year old. Three year olds haven't learned empathy entirely yet and do not always realize that what they do hurts people and that it is bad. That concept of Good and Evil being a part of Light does work to some extent in your Rebellion rp but at other points Darkness doesn't seem so much as nullification as it is just plain evil. The personification of Darkness definitely is. She molests Tanya and those who do not follow her will are destroyed which isn't just merely destruction for destruction's sake but for the sake of malice.

Well, yes. That's the only RP where I've developed the personification of Darkness so thoroughly. And I can't resist making Darkness evil every once in a while since it's just so easy. But you'll notice that in the dragons RP, there isn't really a personification of Darkness and Tanya tends to empathize more with darkness as an element.

And sorry, but I don't really know about Id. Or what it stands for. Basically, in her mind, it's ok to hurt some people because they're a) mean, b) not really people (toys), so it's fun to play with them and it's ok if they get broken coz it's always easy to find new toys. Also, about the molesting thing... Darkness just did that to gain further control of Tanya.

The Id is the part of the self that is a person's basic drives, the sort of drives that drive animals. It seeks to maximize pleasure and avoid pain. Yes, in the dragons' rp Darkness doesn't have a personification. It is just simply an element like the other elements that just happens to utilized mostly by the evil characters. As for molestation, that is a great deal part of why molesters molest in the first place. It is a desire for domination and oppression of others. That is evil. This is why I refer to Ariel as my villain character despite her alliance with the heavenly forces.

Ah, I see. Anyway, I was just trying to explain her rationale for it. She has no particular physical desire for Tanya, and it's pretty much solely a matter of power, control, and domination. It's easier to manipulate Tanya when she has that tie over her too.

Yeah I get it. I really didn't equate it so much as bodily lust anyway as much as I did a desire for complete domination of Tanya's will. Either motivation though would put her in the category of evil whether or not she falls into Evil as a faction. In that rp even the angel Eraleph has a potential to fall pray to evil as a characteristic. For one thing he insists that the humans refer to him as a lord despite telling them not to worship him. His spy network is also verging on tyrannical.

*grin* Yup. But for me, there are varying... degrees of evil you could say. So its important for me to make certain distinctions in my villains.

To me the degrees of evil are only important in the sense of whether a character can shift to being good. For example, the Pride Cats aren't evil. They are just forced to be frightening killers because their mother wills it. Tanya isn't evil because she has been brought up with a coherent set of good morals. Melira on the other hand probably is evil.

Yep, she is. But if villains have certain traits, I find it easier to accept them even if I don't love them. And Tanya isn't exactly evil, but she *does* like hurting humans and it is very, very unlikely that she will ever be able to understand that hurting humans is wrong.

No but it is possible for you to develop pneumonia from it. If you feel feverish for the next few days and the fever doesn't seem to want to break you should go to the doctor.

It depends on what Tanya we are referring to. Rebellion's Tanya may be too far gone but the dragon's Tanya may not be. The angel/demon's version of Tanya which I assume is what the Experiment character is going to be like is questionable. Depending on how I see her in action will determine whether I feel she is redeemable or not.

Hmm... yes, I have to admit that certain of my Tanyas are less anti-human than others. She still didn't really mind letting her pet munch on that poor soul in the Void though. And... I haven't decided yet exactly how I'll play the angel/demon Tanya. She'll bear very close resemblance to my other Tanyas of course, but I've found that in each storyline, the Tanya tends to develop, or is portrayed slightly differently depending on the circumstances of that storyline.

Come to think of it, I just realised that Mischief of my other roleplay is probably the original Chee Chee. I certainly played her before I played Azure officially. And their personalities are very similar, although Shik is a little more reasonable and aware of his own mortality.

It makes sense that Mischief should be related to Chee Chee since they are so closely alligned. I am interested to see how the angel/demon Tanya comes out. Although they all have things in common: being utterly adorable, funny and incredibly naiive

Don't forget insanely powerful. It's a key reason *why* she's able to remain adorable and naiive even through really weird and scary situations. Or rather... its the reason she can have so absolutely little regard for her own safety and believe that any enemy she meets really actually just wants to play games of Tag with her and be her friend, and still be capable of survival for so long. It's also a very nice reason for really evil people not to kill her. She represents some truly incredible potential and is almost pitiably easy to manipulate.

Alright. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that. 3nodding I guess I should see about getting some sleep now, though... 3:30 in the morning, and I've been up since 5:30 yesterday morning sweatdrop

Nah, she has a habit of finding trouble and then diving right into it, squealing and splashing about happily. If she didn't have the insane power to count on, evil people would find her *highly* annoying and would most likely kill her. This way, even if they still find her annoying and try to kill her, she has a chance of defending herself, all the while thinking it's a game. 3nodding

By disregard I also meant they might kill her. They just dismiss her as important and therefore either ignore or end her. It's hilarious she thinks when people are trying to kill her that it is a game.

Yup! She finds it really fun! And she also finds it entertaining that people can turn certain colours. Of course, she never really realises that they turns all those peculiar shades because they're actually angry. ^^ Generally, the quickest way of ensuring Tanya's safety is by having her meet the villain and show off her incredibly awesome powers as soon as humanly possible. Or by getting her to create massive amounts of mayhem in the most showy manner that can be managed. mrgreen
