Ooooh, a little fluffy there huh! Woot!!!! xD Don't mind me, I'm a little tired.

Fluffy? Lol just wait.

Gaaah!!!! Cliffhanger!!!! >/////< I hate those!

Bwahahaha yeah I know I am evil. I totally could post further chapters but I don't know. Maybe I should just leave it at this tonight.
Jmaster: There are 26 edited rps. The number for unedited ones is close to 100. I was doing this for quite sometime and pretty much every night. If you don't like them post somewhere else.

Awwww KataraChan!!!! That's not nice to do to your friends! Leaving them at a cliffhanger so they are left to wonder what happens next while they restlessly try to get some sleep. How truly evil. ~dramatically cries in the corner~

Awww don't cry. You'll live.

~brings her hand dramatically to rest upon her forehead~ How could you possibly know such a thing? You cannot predict how things will turn out with an otaku!

~balls her fist, brings it close to her face, fist shakes~ I have never been able to deal with cliffhangers, I absolutely abhore them. Now I know how OneeChan felt when I left off at a cliffhanger when I first let her read my fanfic. ~cries~ Cliffhangers are evil!

GENTLEMEN
Ohh... shack! Fragging shack it!! I was thinking too convolutedly all this time! Duh, Azula has the whole freaking Fire Nation to back her up! So simple... but I got messed up by her telling them to do nothing... And I do wonder how she got in touch with Mai and Ty Lee to set up the ambush... So simple! Practically no mind games at all! Just get 'em into a position where fire soldiers can pick 'em up/ambush them! That was beautifully played! *applause* Simple, yet deadly. Serve me right for trying to overthink the whole mess. I got caught in her mind games and misdirection too! *admiring*

Umm... you will forgive me for not going 'OMG, poor Katara, Sokka, and Zuko!!' right? Coz right now, I'm still admiring Azula's handiwork. Ye gods, that was just... beautiful. It quite literally took my breath away. And Katara was good too! Very nice emotional play. She rocked! I wonder... can she outlie Azula if she put her mind to it? I think she could actually... I think that if she really wanted to and thought about it, she could manipulate Azula just as well as Azula manipulated her. Furthermore, it'd be fuelled most likely by hate and necessity so she wouldn't indulge in playing with her prey like Azula has a tendency to do. She'd have a higher chance of success then. And also... Azula has a problem with understanding other people's point of view though she's good at manipulating them. But anyway, that can make it pretty easy to fool her if you know how.

P.S. Don't worry about my previous post, I'm more or less sane now. Once I let my insanity have free reign this morning, I was mostly sober for the rest of the day. And forgive the crappiness of Azula... her thoughts were kinda being channelled through my delirium so she wasn't as precise and controlled and purposeful as she normally is... You should have seen the original scrap of paper where we had our conversation... it can clearly be seen how far my insanity is advanced at any one time based on how messy my handwriting is at that moment.

Speaking for Katara, I don't know if she could outlie Azula. It's not her normal way of thinking to manipulate people.

I know its not. That's why she'd have to think of everything beforehand. She's not the sort to be able to lie very well when put on the spot, but she doesn't need to lie all the time if she plans the whole thing out beforehand. I should know, I'm the same way. I'm lousy at impromptu lying, but if I already know what to say... Seriously, from what I'm reading of the RP, Katara could totally outlie Azula if she was given sufficient motivation to do so.

Well if that was the case then that would mean I could outlie Azula and I honestly don't think I could do that. Part of Azula's way of messing with Katara is telling her that she is just like her and that frightens Katara just because of the fact that Azula is a horribly irredeemable person in her eyes. Sure she manipulated Zuko into eating the squirrel but that was harmless. She knew Zuko's pride and competitiveness would get the better of him. She doesn't understand Azula at all. She doesn't understand how someone can seemingly be so devoid of conscience. If she does any manipulation of Azula it is more of an unconscious thing. Even at her most hateful, Katara is incapable of being evil.

Chapter 11: Truth

Scene 1: Sunset, the top of a plateau on the outskirts of a village
[Azula sneers in triumph at her captives. Sokka and Katara both struggle against the three burly firebenders holding fast to their arms while the Prince of Fire lies mired in a net.]

Katara: You won't get away with this.
Princess Azula: *laughs* And I suppose you're going to stop me?
Katara: *looks down knowing she can’t* (sullenly) What will you do with us?
Princess Azula: *smirks* I don't know yet. I'm sure the Fire Lord will think of something.
Prince Zuko: *glares*
Katara: *looks at Sokka then at Zuko sadly*
Princess Azula: As for you, Zuko, *smirks* I'm sure Father has a few things to say to you before...well...let's just say, just like last time, you won't be coming back. *smirks*
Katara: *face goes pale*
Prince Zuko: *tightens eyebrows, and solemnly looks down at the ground*
Princess Azula: At least, *turns to Katara* you'll get that front row seat this time. *smirks*
Katara: *narrows eyes* (vehemently) You’re a monster.
Princess Azula: *laughs* And your brother? What is he? *smirks*
Sokka: *hangs head*
Katara: *looks at Sokka* (resentfully) A fool.
Sokka: *closes eyes*
Katara: *looks away from him, disgusted*
Princess Azula: *laughs* Well, at least we can agree on something.
Katara: *icy glare* You make me sick.
Princess Azula: Who? Me or your brother?
Katara: You. The way you manipulate people. The way you can't feel for anyone. You are disgusting.
Prince Zuko: *closes eyes, feels sick with guilt*
Princess Azula: *grabs Katara's face roughly, glares* You are the disgusting one. You fill your own mind with lies.
Katara: I don't lie to myself anymore.
Princess Azula: *releases her grip* I see. *laughs*
Katara: I never should have tried. I should have just told the truth from the start. *looks at Zuko*
Prince Zuko: * doesn’t look back, eyes still closed*
Princess Azula: True. We might not all be here right now if it wasn't for you. *smirks* And of course, your brother.
Katara: *doesn't look at Sokka, eyes still on Zuko* (sorrowfully) I am so sorry, Zuko.
Sokka: *raises head* Katara, please. I was just trying to protect you.

[The Fire Princess makes a signal to her men. They grab hold of Zuko still trapped within his net and carry him off into the forest where two Komodo rhinos await pulling barred carts.]

Princess Azula: You'll have time to chat later. *smirks at Katara*
Katara: *on the verge of tears, watches Zuko leave*
Prince Zuko: *slightly glances back*
Princess Azula: I'm sure you'll want to spend some time with your brother first. *smirks*
Katara: *face tightens at the thought of being alone with Sokka *

[The Firebending prodigy signals to the guards holding Sokka and Katara captive. They lead the Water Tribe siblings away into the forest and to their own prison cart separate from Zuko which will carry them to Azula’s ship. ]

Princess Azula: Let's go. We've already wasted enough time

[A group of slaves come forth bearing the princess’s canopied lounge. One of these slaves breaks away from the group and prostrates himself before his mistress.Using his back as a stepping stone, Azula climbs aboard. As the procession begins its progress towards the waiting Fire Navy ship, Katara sits down sullenly in the prison cart. Her brother looks at her with the most guilt-ridden and apologetic of faces.]

Not even being evil for a good cause? She might hate herself for it afterwards... but if she hates Azula enough in the first place, she could do it. Think like bloodbending... or when she went after her mother's killer. She wouldn't kill Azula obviously... but she can deceive and manipulate her in order to defeat her. If there was truly no other choice and Katara knows there's no other choice... she could do it.

Yes, I'm with SIN. What tipped you off? The distinctive robes and medallion? My fiery red skin? Or maybe it was the swirling portal of death behind me, or the big, spiky mace I'm carrying...

Scene 2: Night, inside the prison cart

Katara: *refuses to look at him, angry*
Sokka: (whispering) Katara?
Katara: *silent*
Sokka: Katara? *gets up, walks towards Katara*
Katara: *touches necklace remembering how Zuko once held it long ago *
Sokka: *puts hand on her shoulder* (whispering) Katara, I'm sorry. I…I didn’t know.
Katara: *shrugs his hand off her shoulder, turns her back towards him*
Sokka: *squints eyes about to cry* I love you. *looks at the ground*
Katara: (bitterly) You wouldn't even give him a chance but for some reason you did for her. Now he is going to.... *starts to cry*
Sokka: *can't swallow* I thought he was trying to get Aang.
Katara: (in tears) I told you before he wasn't after Aang. You didn't believe me.
Sokka: *is about to put hand on shoulder, hesitates then pulls hand back* I'm sorry. *slumps down onto the floor of the cart*
Katara: Sorry isn't good enough. Sorry isn’t going to save us or Aang.Sorry isn’t going to save him.
Sokka: (silent tears) This is all my fault. *puts head in hands*
Katara: (under her breath) Oh Zuko, I was so stupid.
Sokka: *silent*
Katara: *looks out through the bars*
Sokka: Katara, please don't hate me.*closes eyes* I was doing this for you.
Katara: Doing this for me? How is sending us to the Fire Nation doing this for me?!? *icy glare at him*
Sokka: *stands up* It wasn't supposed to be this way! Nothing was supposed to be this way *turns away* I just wanted to protect you because I love you.
Katara: Then you should have believed me.
Sokka: I wanted to.
Katara: You must not have wanted to enough.
Sokka: *closes eyes* I didn't...I didn't know the truth about Zuko. I guess I didn't want to believe it. *sits back down*
Katara: Well, it doesn't matter I guess anymore. You got what you wanted.
Sokka: *lowers head* I just wanted to be there for you.
Katara: Then, you should have listened to me. But you never have and never will so I guess I should have saw it coming.
Sokka: *eyes still closed* Do you hate me now?
Katara: No, Sokka I don't hate you.
Sokka: *looks up*
Katara: I just hate what you did.
Sokka: *looks back down* I didn't know it would end up like this. It's not like I knew we'd be here in this jail cart.
Katara: What did you think was going to happen?
Sokka: I thought I would be protecting you. I thought you would trust me again. *closes eyes*
Katara: I did trust you. If I didn't I wouldn't even be here.
Sokka: *looks away* Then, why did you leave me for him?
Katara: Leave you? What are you talking about? I never left you.
Sokka: Yes you did. You decided to follow him instead of me after we escaped.
Katara: I was tired and I just wanted the arguing to stop. I wanted us all to get along but you wouldn't let that happen.
Sokka: You were there for him not me. *hangs head* You promised... *trails off*
Katara: I promised what?
Sokka: You promised you would aways be there for me. You were always with him. *furrows eyebrows*
Katara: I wasn't always with him.
Sokka: When weren't you?
Katara: *looks down* I am sorry, Sokka. I never meant to hurt you. I just care for you both.
Sokka: *furrows brows* And now I've hurt you even more.
Katara: It's ok. It doesn't matter now.
Sokka: *looks up* How can you say that?! I just put us all in danger. You should hate me. How can you stand to be in this cart with me *stands up* How can you not hate me?! *stares*
Katara: Because I am not her. I can still love. I can forgive.
Sokka: *turns away at the mention of Azula*
Katara: You are my brother, Sokka. You have always been there for me ever since father left.
Sokka: I don't deserve to be. I couldn't even protect you from myself *turns around* I did all this.
Katara: Yes you did. But I forgive you.
Sokka: *starts shaking* I'm sorry. I really am.
Katara: I know and if we are going to die, I want you to know that I still love you.
Sokka: *turns around, smiles weakly at Katara *
Katara: *hugs him*
Sokka: *hugs back* (whispering) Thanks, Katara.
Katara: *smiles*
Sokka: I promise, I'll listen to you from now on.
Katara: *laughs* You better.
Sokka: *weak smile* I guess I was just confused of who to believe.
Katara: *withdrawls from hug and looks at him earnestly* Believe in me Sokka. I believe in you.
Sokka: *looks down* Even after I've been lying to you this whole time?
Katara: I've lied to you too. I didn't tell you everything I was feeling. I didn't even allow myself to know the truth.
Sokka: I'm sure you had a good reason not to *weak smile*
Katara: Well, knowing now how you would react, I honestly don't think it would have mattered what I had said. I just wished I had not lied to Zuko too.
Sokka: *doesn't know what to say*
Katara: Sokka, we have to find some way to save him. We have to.

I don't know. Manipulating someone requires thinking of ways to hurt them psychologically. It is different than hurting someone physically. It requires knowing as Azula says their weaknesses as well as their strengths. She knows Zuko's because he's blatant about them. She doesn't know what Azula's are and to find out she'd have to seriously think about what makes Azula tick. She'd rather not think about her at all.
