based on your list I think you should give Ushio & Tora and Hoshin Engi a try, and maybe Flame of Recca as well.

and Black Cat, definitely Black Cat, the manga, not the anime. the anime is okay, but the manga is so much better since the anime got its intended total ep count cut from 52 eps to 24 eps about 10 eps in due to low ratings which REALLY mucked up the pacing and everything.

lol, I'm pretty sure that not the kind of anime his looking for especially if you look at his anime list. Uzumaki is a really creepy anime/manga, like really creepy.

Anyway, i would recommend Dragon Ball. (The one without the 'Z' or 'GT')

Tokyo Mew Mew is my other fav!!! Ichigo is my fav character shes the best!!
Vampire Knight is also lovely,
Munto I thought it had a good story line, but I was heartbroken that there was only like nine episodes so it really got rushed at the end but I like the characters!!
Bleach I heart Ulquiorra! cat_whee (hes cool okay?),
Durarara, very very good suspense
K-On! is pretty cute and has good music!
