What about if the mother's life is in danger. If the baby isn't old enough to survive on its own, and the mother will die, the baby will die anyway. Might as well save the mother at least.

Also, some mothers really want to keep their babies, but if the mother finds out the unborn child has some horrible genetic disease where the baby will live a few years in horrible pain and then die, she puts her own beliefs aside to save the baby from pain and misery. I don't see anything wrong with that.

As much as I am against abortion, truthfully risking the life of the mother and that of her child in order to try and deliver her child doesn't work. While the life of the child ought to be preserved when possible, the life of the mother is still superior to it.

By that, I meant that there's little reason for us to be concerned with our killing off true parasites (or, rather, making our bodies inhospitable to their breeding there- it kills some, but it's more indirect than flat-out killing them, the point being to get them to move elsewhere via sneezes, etc).
