10,000,000 is a thread to chat and make friends. PRIMARILY A HANGOUT.
You would be surprised how many nice, friendly people are in 10,000,000. You can talk about just about anything here (even life issues, this is an anything chat thread).
We are welcoming to new people, and we don't like rudeness here, especially directed towards anyone's issues.

To new people, here are two simple things you need to know:
1: Post a quest for 200 gold.
2: Number your posts for prizes! See the third post for more details. ^_^

We trust that you will get a warm friendly welcome. Simply either start by saying hello, or at least numbering your posts. When regulars see someone starting at one, they are usually greeted quickly. ^_^ Please do not give up if not greeted after minute. It can take up to five, because people are often responding to multiple posts at once.

There are also many things that make the thread unique. Unlike many threads, i, the OP, am an active regular. Please pay attention to the title of the thread because it sometimes changes once every few minutes.

For those who don't like reading much, it is only the first (intro), second (rules) and third (prizes) posts that need to be read.

Welcome to "Help me get to 10,000,000 pages #2." Before you say "OMG ths is imposible i wont hlp u," please let me tell you what this thread is actually about. It all started as a memorial thread that all the regulars of the original 10,000,000 could come to when the first 10,000,000 was locked (due to a jerk friend of 10,000,000's creator konda). We gathered more people and started making progress.

When the original was unlocked, we decided we would keep going, but we could no longer be a "memorial" thread. We became the 2nd 10,000,000 and added prizes to keep people coming back. We have plenty of fun regulars to chat with and we could always use more.



Here is the thing: although our goal is far, it is the journey, not the destination, that truly counts. So come here, post, win prizes, tell your friends, and HAVE FUN!!!

Note: i have OCD, so some of the rules may seem set up strangely. However, i am lenient on the rules when it betters the thread (And i don't want to scare away any potential new regulars with oppressive enforcement of the rules).





RULE ZERO: If you see someone new who has just started counting, or has said hello, GREET THEM (and tell them about some of the prizes). We need to make a great impression on new people. i know that most of the regulars do this already, but sometimes when checking pages, i have seen people who have started counting not greeted, and they give up and leave...






~~~~~~~1a. Do not pagestretch. See Rule 8, also.
1b. Exception: A long picture post is acceptable, but if that post is quoted, please change the IMG tags into URL tags.

3a. NEVER use the "domo stargate " that you see after a post of mine. Your post will be deleted if i see it.
This is due to the fact that the domo stargate represents that i am using that account. If you use the domo stargate , that means that i am using your account. Since i am not using your account, you can't use the domo stargate post sig. CLARIFICATION: The use of the domo emoticon itself is NOT forbidden, only using the "domo stargate " is.

3b. Removed~

4. Don't be rude to regulars or other people, unless that person is being rude or breaking a rule (except rule 10. Meaning, i don't want people yelling at others for bumping).

5. Please don't insult the goal of the thread. Also, don't insult the goal and link to MPT. It's annoying. *clarification: you can link to MPT, but don't insult the thread while doing so. that is what this rule means, idiot.*

6. If the original 10,000,000 is unlocked, i will put a link back to it in the first post.

~~~~~~~7. Call me and my other accounts gate (And i am NOT Spidar. She is a different person. This is a link to Spidar's profile.).

8. Please don't quote any of the posts on the first page. Some of them are pretty long.

~~~~~~~9. You can post your quests. Actually, i ENCOURAGE you to post your quests.

10a. Whenever possible, PLEASE try to talk to people instead of just bumping. Note that this is NOT an anti-bumping rule, but a pro-talking rule. If people do nothing but bump, some may get bored of the thread and leave.

10b. With the posting prizes, you should try to talk to other people while you post. Just have the number on the post, it's better than bumping, since too much bumping might discourage people from staying after prizes have been given. People don't want "another bump thread." However, to get to 10,000,000 pages within a human lifetime, we need something to get more people to come in and post more.
If you are in the thread bumping, and another person is bumping too, and you don't think that the person is NOT a bot, PLEASE try to start a conversation with them! What i do not want is people thinking that this thread is degenerating into "just another bumping thread." However, i also want people to know that i am not an idiot like SHARO-SHARO, so i am not going to yell at people for bumping. This is the chatterbox, after all.

10c. If you are alone, or you think everyone is around you is botting, then go ahead, bump away. We still need the pages.

~~~~~~~11. If you are going to quote a pagestretching post or a scam link, either remove most of the post (for a pagestretching post) or remove the link (for a scam link).

12. PWEM crew may NOT invite ANYONE in this thread. ALL regulars STAY AWAY FROM THERE!!! [REDACTED] My anger is now towards [DATA EXPUNGED]. (Sorry, i've been reading too many SCPs...)

14. The original rule 14 is nulled and deleted completely. It was out of date and useless.
New rule 14: Once you reach 1,000 500 posts, you can freely "double up" or "triple up" with your mules and post with them simultaneously, while advancing your count. No need to switch. If you still feel like switching and not doubling or tripling, then simply switch as normal.
AN EXPLANATION OF REGULAR SWITCHING: You can do this no matter what your count is. To switch, all you have to do is state the account you are switching to, and begin posting with that account with the next number you would have had. Mules do not get separate counts.

15a. Please do not ask me to call you by your real name, unless it is part of your username. a: it makes me uncomfortable and b: i won't remember it anyway.
15b. Look, i don't have the best memory. Please don't ask me to call you something that isn't part of your username or any of your mule's usernames.
15c. You can ask other people to call you by your real name or something not part of your username, just don't expect me to.

16. If you don't want a page prize, you MUST delete the winning post. i CANNOT simply give it to the next person just because i am asked. The only thing you can do if you don't delete the post (please do not cancel the trades) is to offer the trade with the same amount of gold to make a null trade.

~~~~~~~17. Fighting sucks. Don't mess with other regulars, no matter what they say. Conflict was a buildup to a catastrophic storm that screwed up the thread. To put it simple, DON'T CAUSE DRAMA. Drama can lead to fights... and fights can ruin the thread. Not defining drama. Because that might end up with me breaking my own rule if it's too specific, and not doing anything if it is too general. JUST USE COMMON SENSE. Be nice instead. Offending posts may be deleted.

18. Adding this BEFORE anything bad happens. People who like roleplay, respect the opinions of those that don't. Same in reverse. Those who don't like roleplay need to respect those that do.

Section A: Quest donations.

For this, simply post your quest to receive 200 gold. For quests, i consider things like questing for an item, gold amount, game items, etc. i don't accept stuff like "questing for arena votes" or "questing for avi art"

If you do not have a questbar or dream avatar, a simple way to post a quest is to post this:
"i am questing for *Insert Item/Gold Amount here*"



Section B: Post Prizes.

Here is what they are. You simply number your posts (starting from one, counting upwards). We have multiple prizes for this. Please note that i check every page of the thread. If you are messing up your post count, i will notice and tell you. You get the benefit of the doubt the first time, i will not assume you are cheating.

The Prizes:
100 posts: 100-125 gold (i may be permanently raising this to 125 in the future)
250 posts: 100 tokens (NOTE: Fangs_Katana runs this one, COMMENT HER WHEN YOU REACH THIS AMOUNT)
500 posts: 250 gold
1,000 posts: 1,000 gold.
10,000 posts: An item of my choosing, usually worth more than 20k. More faithfulness to the thread = bigger prize. Gifted, not traded.

For every extra 10,000 posts past 10,000, you will get 20,000 gold from JamesTheSuperfish. Comment or PM him with your post count to get your prize!



You CAN use mules. However, you MUST state that you are switching to another account before switching. Until you reach 1,000. After that, you can bring in all your mules and post at the same time. This is further detailed in Rule 14.

If you leave for a long time (and by this, i mean hours), PLEASE quote your exit post when you return. It both helps show that you returned, and helps remind you of your count. You can also use Community -> Forums -> My Posts if you lose track.



Section C: Page donations.

You get gold simply by being first on a certain page!

First on 100th page: 500 gold!
First on 500th page: 1,000 gold!
First on 1,000th page: 5,000 gold!!! (given by Metal Crue Damnation (MCD))

10,000th pages are different. The prizes are as follows:

Prizes for every 10,000th page: 1st: Two monthly collectibles from that month (LadyDraka)
2nd: 10,000 gold (MCD)
3rd: 1,000 gold (gate)
fourth and fifth will only be awarded if there are enough unique posters.
4th: 500 gold (gate)
5th: 100 gold (gate)

NOTE: For page 50,000, nux is taking over the main prizes.

Dominion of Devastation: A great regular who shares a strange amount of similarities with me. Reached 1,000 posts. Me and thea managed to stop her from quitting. Also, an idiot "friend" of hers managed to get some more of her accounts banned. Thankfully, she got someone to get them unbanned. And now she is banned again. Now mostly using iZenaku.

Callipygia: Reached 10,000 posts. Due to her timezone, she is online and posting at times when many people would be asleep and in other places and is a huge help.

ShipThat: Reached 1,000 posts. Good artist. Mule = Rococo Lo-lee-tah.

rlcarvell: Now schnauzers4robin. Incredibly valuable regular. Fills in the emptiness that occurs during the morning hours in the thread, and posts with a rate that rivals that of mellody. Has brought in more conversation than almost any other previous regular. Second to reach 10,000 posts!

FyoraSilverwolf: Over 10,000 posts. Had a sort of post rivalry with Dark090 for a while. Old member of TPD. Has been tremendously helpful recently, especially with helping to make quota.

Dark090: FOURTH PERSON TO REACH 10,000 POSTS!!! Good conversations, fun to talk to. Had a sort of post rivalry with FyoraSilverwolf for a while. Also loves greeting everyone who comes into the thread. ^_^

RC Cola2046: Passed 1,000 posts. Posted at a decent rate, last time i edited the whitelist, she hadn't even started posting yet! Has a hamuhamu that loves to glow for booty grab.

astrobetch: Has gone through quite a couple name changes. When she first came, she was astrozombieamber (i think). She reached an unknown (as in, i forget how many XP) amount of posts, stopped counting for a long time, and was allowed to start again with a prize exception. forgot to add her for some reason, putting her here as a placeholder.

jazzchan7: Loves the thread. ^_^ Is a very openminded person, which resulted in a highly enjoyable (and surprising) GIM conversation. Was the second of 3 regulars who reached 1,000 within a very short period of each other.

super_t3: Friend of nikui, girlfriend of me. BEYOND fun regular. :3 Lives even closer to me than Mind does. O_o Was the third of 3 regulars who reached 1,000 within a very short period of each other. pixie_wings 12: Another longtime regular with a slow postrate. Very secretive, moreso than me when i first started gaia. Not sure if i remember right, but i asked, and she wouldn't even say her country. O_o

Spiffaliciously Awesome: Highly dedicated to the thread, has now passed 10,000 posts. Used to be someone who fought with me over conflicting views on certain things, but has become one of my closest friends. We now make each other happier. Has internet back! =D Admits she is a huge fangirl of me. XD

O-TO-KO-YO: Was regular in the original, was status unknown for a while, and returned. She was very knowledgeable about certain subjects when we were talking in GIM. Counts her posts now. :3

Thee Other Half: Highly unique and interesting person. Used to be on all the time because he literally can only sleep one or two days of the week. Ask him if you want to know why. Extremely close friends with faint, basic admission that it goes beyond friendship. ^_^ (That has run into problems, though...)

black_and_white_28: Now BnW X3 (Name i suggested, she was getting tired of her old one). Our most active Filipino regular. Always tend to see her around. She keeps posting in streaks, even when completely alone. i love her dedication to the thread whee HAS PASSED 10,000 POSTS. XD

Transparent Keyboard: Has one of the most incredible post rates that i have ever seen. Passed 1,000 in just a few days. Used to change name way to much. No longer active, it seems. O_o

weirdfrog10: Doesn't count her posts, but has started posting alot recently. Is a donator, and also fun to talk to. Helps out alot late at night, and has come up with some great ideas for the new contests.

Javacat: One of our more interesting regulars. Was fishing buddies with Hudson and Hudson recommended the thread to her, she later became hooked. Passed 1,000 posts, has a mule that i totally love the name of: SCREEMING WUSSY CAKES. XD

Roleplay Information

Sorry it is so far down, the thread was not created for light roleplay, but it gives people more things to do, and some people love it.



You enter the thread through a massive standalone arch, which is appears to be alien in origin. Along the inside of the arch, you see the first posts of the thread, including this one, which you are reading right now. Entering 10,000,000, whether through the arch or not, allows you to be in the same timezone as everyone, so you can talk freely to people who would otherwise be on the other side of the world. When you exit 10,000,000, you end up back in your timezone, so you can do what is needed offline.

On top of the arch, viewable on both sides, is a large digital sign containing the title of the thread. Usually it stays the same, but it changes at times, so pay attention to it when i am not posting.





After coming through the arch, you see the other areas of the thread.

1: A few dozen feet in front of you, you find a massive pavilion area, the main part of 10,000,000. It has some tables and chairs, but is mostly open space dotted with trees and some open air structures for shelter from rain. You can also order food and drinks, and they will be delivered quickly from offthread locations.

2: A few hundred feet to the right, and stretching as far as the eye can see, is the edge of a cliff, which extends several hundred feet down, and just recently had about a hundred feet of it lined with fences and warnings. No jumping off allowed, unless you can fly.

3: A few hundred feet to the left, follow some signs, and you will reach a massive lake. It has a dock that you can fish off of, and any member can go there for a swim. No boating is allowed, due to a peaceful, friendly, telepathic creature that inhabits the lake. Litter in the lake is absolutely forbidden.

4: A few thousand feet behind the pavilion area, there is a massive forest, likely several thousand acres in area. The forest is medium density for most of the explored area, but may get thicker a few thousand feet in.

5: A few dozen feet past the pavilion area, along the way to the forest, is a small covered stage, with several dozen seats, wired for electricity. Can be used by anyone for performances, no advanced notice needed. Mostly used by the Gate Band (all the members are gate accounts) for small concerts.

6: Several dozen feet to the left of the stage is the area where i land my death glider (the Goa'uld fighter craft i use to fly up and back from Gatemansgc's ha'tak). Stay away from there, please.

7: Large areas of the thread are undescribed and undeveloped. What do people want? The areas can be added in easily. We're a huge place, we can fit what we want.

And there is nothing wrong with helping both threads!

Today, January 15, 2008, the original "help me get to 10,000,000 pages," known as 10,000,000, was locked. The moderator that locked it claimed that it was "per thread owner's request." We all know that this is impossible. K0nda-L0rd-0f-Eiganj0 (konda), who started the original thread back in February 5, 2005, would never request to have his thread locked. He had stated about a week before this incident that he had been hacked recently.

We now know what happened to konda:

Ok... This may come as a shock to some of you but I am K0nda_l0rd_0f_eiganj0 or konda as i have become known as. It may be hard for some of you to believe me since the abrupt end to the 10mil thread. Suffice to say my other account was not hacked but one of my friends decided to be an a*****e about something we got to disagreeing on politics and he nuked the mailing address locked up the thread and then changed my password while I was out getting some food. So I don't know when I'll be able to get back on as konda and unlock the thread if ever. With that in mind I hope you all will stay strong and keep it up. Luckily he couldn't get rid of K0nda's stuff so I won't have to save up to get some of it back and I started a back up character for if this were to happen to store my some of my stuff. Sadly i didn't get much out. If you have any questions you can pm me and I will answer to my best ability.

I also wish to thank gate for starting up the memorial thread.

So, in case the moderator does not listen to our pleas konda cannot get his account back and unlock the original, i (gate) am creating this thread in memory of the original. (The original is open, we are continuing as 10,000,000 #2)

February 15, 2008: One month anniversary of the thread! We have our second affiliate, plus a minor front page redesign.

March 13, 2008: The original was unlocked, the 10,000,000 memorial becomes 10,000,000 nummber 2, and continues on.

July 29, 2008: Added a poll. You know, i could have sworn that i added a poll when i created the thread, and it was NOT a limited time poll. Notice that there is no "no" option.

August 12, 2008: Redid the first post. The old one was WAY too cluttered. The new one has our purpose first, instead of a bunch of random "go to this post for that" followed by outdated information. It will be less of a turnoff. N00bs want to read as little as possible (usually by reading nothing at all...).

October 15, 2008: gate made a banner! In Paint!

December 2, 2008: Added information for hiring advertisers for the thread. Minor first post tweaks, especially in the whitelist.

December 15, 2008: Mellody123 made a banner! She sent it after midnight, so technically i received it and added it to the thread on the same day. The large version was added to first post.

January 15, 2009: Anniversary event! So many people posting! There were prizes for the first poster on every TENTH PAGE. All normal prizes were doubled, and if there were 100 posts withing 24 hours the previous night, they would be triples.

January 21?, 2009: Ended anniversary event. The night before, we only got 45 pages because one of our regulars was too tired from a long day at work to come on (i cannot blame her. She needed rest).

February 1, 2009: Tsumi was on a posting spree late night. i did not want to interrupt her spree, so i started messing with the title to get her attention. i changed it to some slightly random things with the title 10,000,000 #2: then followed it by gibberish that i changed a few times. When that failed, i changed the title to a simple period, then changed it to "wehfuhpryf04rf0re90884rrvur49fur9vrfuvfu-9vuf909-vwu40q3eiuf" which i left into the next day. Some of the reactions from regulars were classic.

Early March 2009: The thread title was changed to "i like the smell of girl farts. comment? 10,000,000 pages #2" Got a few reactions, and some new potential regulars came in. Several days later, i was bribed 26k to change the title. Lol.

March 18, 2009: Two regulars of the thread, nikui-garu and [Larissa] were posting, when location came up as a topic. It turns out that not only do they live in the same town in Canada, but they go to the SAME SCHOOL! And may have actually talked a few times! SMALL WORLD! Starts on page 21879.

March 27, 2009: Fixed the first post for real this time. Now we have an extremely clear into before the history, and i have removed the rest of the ugly clutter.

April 5, 2009: Ugly Avi Day. Everyone made their avatars as ugly as possible. It was fun. XD

May 31, 2009: First update in a while. XD Made the thread title into uhgU^Tygf78tGI&Uyt897HyutGuyGuyTIUFtyuGfuiFdiFkytfg after not changing it for ages. Also, 8 days before this, i spilled Arbor Mist (uber sweet wine) all over my laptop, and it still works.

June 17, 2009: The worst day in the history of 10,000,000. Started out as an all-day pagerush, ended up too horrible to state here... THE STORM.

June 21-22, 2009: Recovering from the storm, but most importantly, mapped out areas of the thread to make adding casual roleplay as a part of the thread possible!

June 28, 2009: Girly Avi Day! Dress as girly as possible, even those with male avatars dressed girly. XD i was (and at time of writing still am) a PINK DEMON. Was not around for the fun, only got to post twice that day, the least i have posted since possibly my senior trip.

July 8, 2009: Early, this was pre-reset. Star and Darkangel started using my comments to talk to each other, which is a massive help in my quest for comments. Thanking them here.

July 20, 2009: First date with super! Took several pictures and uploaded them when i got back. XD

August 5, 2009: My 35,000th post. XD

?????: Added contests. Made my newest mule (the first since January 2007) musegate into 10millioncontestsgate. Multi-co-owned by many great regulars, though the contests have yet to cause acceleration in pages... >_<

October 8, 2009: PAGE 50,000!!!!!

Octover 15, 2009: GIGANTIC pagerush. we had an embarrassingly small amount of pages when i came on, so i made the first prize FORTY THOUSAND GOLD. That is one big limit break right there, lol.

October 22, 2009: TEN THOUSAND COMMENTS!!!!!
