Greetings, Gaians. We are pleased to present to you: The Philanthropists' Society, a place where those with means may donate to those in need.
We here in the Society have worked our way up financially in our time on Gaia and do remember what it is like to be questing for that awesome item. We remember the frustration we felt looking for a charity that gave freely but were met with restrictions and requirements. We here in the Society love giving and feel there should be NO REQUIREMENTS or prerequisites for the questing to be given some gold. Our mission, simply, is to give whatever we can to whoever asks..no questions asked.

Rules: (Enforced.)
1.) Please follow all of Gaia's rules and guidelines.
2.) You may request gold from this charity up to 4 times maximum.
3.) We will give what we can, when we can and we do not discriminate on who gets how much.
4.) Please do not PM any of the staff asking for gold.
5.) We reserve the right to withhold donations from users that we suspect, with good reason, to be mules trying to take advantage of our very generous system. If you ask for gold and do not receive it, it is probably due to this reason and you may PM us about it to challenge our suspicions.
6.) You must post your gold request in this thread to receive a donation.

Suggestions: (Not enforced.)
1.) We very highly suggest that you read the entire first page and read it often, even if you are a regular. We post notices galore and constantly update. If you do not check the first page often enough, you will miss out!
2.) If you have read this whole page, and see someone that has obviously not read the front page, please suggest they do so. So far, the answers to everyone's questions were on the front page all along...
3.) We do see and fill out every single request we see. Every one. So, if you post a request and don't get anything right away, it would be better if you waited until we send you your donation, and then post another request. In other words, more requests does not equal a greater chance of getting a donation. Even one request will get you a donation.
4.) Keep in mind, if we cannot actually read your post, there is no guarantee we will be able to help you. (aka..be literate).
5.) We are a charity and we allow you to beg from us (even though it is impolite..). However, please do not beg from the people that regularly post in this thread. They are not a charity and begging from them is incredibly rude as they, as well as yourself, are guests here.
6.) You shouldn't ignore anyone that comes into the thread, newcomers especially should not be ignored. Make everyone feel welcome!

1.) "Art Auction!":

We are offering some special 'Philanthropist Edition" art that you can bid on!
A small bid can get you a really great work of art that's perfect for a sig. If you're looking for very well done art, click on the Bubble Wrapped version of art below to visit the art thread.

2.) "Referral Program":

We now have a section in the optional request form for a referral.
If someone names you as the person/quest thread that sent them to us, then you get 1,000g! We do not know how long we will have this available, but it is yet another way to earn gold. If you do send someone to us, and they name you as a reference, we will not count this extra 1,000g as 1/4 of your allowed gold requests! Charities that send people here will receive 2,000g! (You may receive one referral prize each day that someone names you as a reference.)

3.) "Bunneh Yahtzee!":

Roll 5 dice, 6 sided.
Winning rolls are=
•Straight [any combo of 1,2,3,4,5 or 2,3,4,5,6] = 5k
•Full House [any combo of having 2 of a number and 3 of another number 3,3,3,2,2 or 4,2,4,2,4] = 5k
•4 of a Kind [3,3,3,4,3 or 2,3,2,2,2] = 10k

Enjoys hanging with friends in general, but can't pass up a good debate if he knows the topic well.
Avid fan of rpg's, mmo's, the ones that make you think.
Loves making people smile or laugh if not both. Be it random gifts or a wide array of sarcastic jokes. (sometimes corny, sometimes a little warped)
Believes we are all entitle to an oppinion so long as we are nice about it. I can tell you what I believe not what to believe. And please don't try to force me to see things your way, I usually already can.
Always open to meeting new friends, you can never have too many. If you want to know something feel free to ask, I am usually willing to answer if able.
Randomness and chaos are my friends. Never know when I'll dissapear or show up, but I'm always aorund somewhere lurking in the shadows.

We are always looking for anyone interested in becoming a part of The Philanthropists' Society. If you are interested, here are some jobs and requirements of those jobs:

Associate Staff Member/Co-Owner-

Please do what you can to help us! (One of any of these requirements can allow you to become Staff, not all are required.)
~Should be able to offer to donate time to looking for those in need of donations,
~Should be able to offer art, graphics and advertisement ideas, offer a side service to raise funds for the charity
~Should be able to constantly donate money to the charity's 'pot'
~And to be realistic: rich and experienced?? lol >.<;;; Ok, but it is kind of necessary that you be an experienced Gaian (at least 1 year on Gaia). And that, for the most part, you have finished questing items for yourself. The less items you still want/need, the more freely you can fulfill a role of Co-Owner to a charity.

Benefactor-

~Should be able to donate something substantial (i.e. 1,000+g) at least once.
~Should be able to offer any helpful ideas to our charity,
~Should be able to donate art/graphics,
~Should be able to bump the charity thread often, especially when the thread is very quiet,
~Design a profile for us?,
~Sponsor a contest! PM the mule to find out how.
