Post 4. THE Music Fest Logic Puzzles
Each logic puzzle will get progressively harder. You may PM me about them as often as you like. This is not "first answer = only answer" situation. I definitely believe in second (and third and so on) chances!

Please PM me your solutions. I would like to thank Everett Kaser who designed the game Sherlock, upon which all these puzzles were based. Good luck and enjoy!

First Concert

The elves are putting on concerts for the Music Fest! The first concert is a series of three trios, each trio playing different instruments. Each trio had a wind instrument (flute, clarinet, oboe), a brass instrument (trumpet, trombone, tuba) and a string instrument (violin, guitar, harp). Figure out which instruments played in each trio and in which order they played.

The clarinet and the harp played together in a trio.
The violin played before the flute.
The oboe played in the same trio with the trumpet.
The trio with the trumpet played between one with the trombone and one with the clarinet.
Don't forget to put the guitar and the tuba where they belong.

You now have enough information to solve the First Concert Puzzle. If you wish to verify your solution, PM me.

Second Concert

The next concert is put on by four elves singing and playing instruments. Each elf sits in a chair of a different color, plays a different instrument, and sings a different vocal part (soprano, alto, tenor, or bass). Match each elf with his or her chair, instrument, and vocal part and the order in which they sit left to right.

Eve sat in the copper chair.
The cornet player sat somewhere to the left of the sax player.
Ed sat next to the bass singer.
The tenor played piccolo.
The alto sat next to Elvira.
Ed sat between the cornet player and Elvis.
The tenor sat next to the copper chair.
The bass sat in the gold chair.
Elvira sat somewhere to the right of Elvis.
The silver chair was somewhere to the left of the copper one.
One chair was platinum.
One elf played guitar.
Don't forget the soprano.

You now have enough information to solve the Second Concert Puzzle. If you wish to verify your solution, PM me.

Third Concert

The drum corps played next. Five elves each played a different length of note (whole, half, quarter, eighth or sixteenth) on a different percussion instrument (kettle drum, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, or triangle). Please keep your answers in this order as you tell: Which elf played which length note on which instrument while in which postition (lying, sitting, kneeling, standing, or squatting) on which color rug in order from first to last.

Ellie brought a red rug (possibly but not necessarily for herself).
Victor played an eighth note on a green rug.
Esau played next to the yellow rug.
Lily played a sixteenth note while sitting.
The whole note was played next to the orange rug.
Esau played the triangle.
The standing elf was between the green rug and the yellow rug.
The eighth note was played on the cymbals while lying down (and that wasn't easy!).
Stan was next to the elf playing the quarter note.
The snare drum played a sixteenth note.
The sitting elf was next to the one squatting.
The elf on the yellow rug played sometime after the elf who was lying down.
The bass drum was played kneeling.
The green rug was between the sixteenth note and the triangle.
Lily played on the purple rug.

Fourth Concert

The fourth concert is actually more of a variety show. Six groups of elves performed (a Duet, a Trio, a Quartet, an Ensemble, a Band and a full Orchestra). Each group played a different kind of music in front of a different backdrop. Each group had a soloist who played their special instrument. And each group wore a specific color. Please make sure your answers are in this order: The Soloist played which type of music on which instrument in which group against which backdrop wearing which color.

Avril brought a fiddle for someone to play.
The mountain backdrop took the longest to paint.
The Quartet played against a farmland backdrop.
Kelly played next to the Duet.
Gwen played banjo.
The Trio played next to the Orchestra.
The Duet played rock music against a city backdrop.
Ethnic music was played on a harmonica in a quartet.
The lute played sometime before the city backdrop was used.
Everyone in the Ensemble wore red.
Fergie played between the group wearing blue and the one wearing gold.
Rihanna played gospel music, not country music.
The group that played ethnic music played some time after elves wearing teal.
The piano player wore white.
The rainbow backdrop was used between Justin's group and the city backdrop.
The recorder player wore blue, not black.
The piano played some time before the band.
Jazz was played against a forest backdrop by elves wearing teal.
The Ensemble played between the Quartet and the Duet.
The classical music was played on a banjo by an elf wearing red.
The Trio played between the backdrops of the lake and the farmland.

Fifth Concert

The Fifth Concert was a Handbell choir. Each elf wore a differently colored flower. Each handbell had a different handle and lay on a differently shaped cloth made of different fabrics. Keep your answers in this order while you tell which elf wore which color of which flower, played which handbell with which handle lying on which shape of which kind of cloth? In which order did they come onto the stage?

The bells were lettered A to G, including a B bell.
Sakura played next to Cloud.
The elf wearing the lily played between the brass-handled bell and the cotton cloth.
Mushi's cloth was a triangle shape, not a rectangle.
Aria, not Licca, was next to the C bell.
The orange flower was next to the D bell.
Yugioh's cloth was corduroy.
The E bell was next to the ivory handle.
Sakura was next to the D bell.
Aria was next to Mushi.
The F bell was next to the C bell.
The gold-handled bell was played by an elf wearing the purple flower.
The red flower was next to rayon cloth.
The heart-shaped cloth came after the velvet cloth.
Sakura was between the white flower and the F bell
The hexagon cloth was between the circle and the glass handle.
The green flower came before the oval cloth.
The C bell had a glass handle.
The felt cloth was next to the carnation.
The tulip came before the sunflower.
The rose was next to the gold-handled bell.
The silver-handled bell was between the blue flower and the G bell.
Sakura came before the purple flower.
The G bell lay on polyester, not denim.
Sakura was before the elf with the glass-handled bell.
The elf wearing the daffodil played an ivory-handled bell on a heart-shaped cloth.
Yugioh was next to the square cloth.
The D bell had a jade handle.
The heart-shaped cloth was next to the C bell.
The C bell was next to the brass-handled bell.
The yellow flower was between the carnation and the A bell.
Inuyasha had a daisy and a rayon cloth.
The rose came before the carnation.
Sakura held the wood handle.

Sixth Show

The last show was a craft fair. Each elf made an instrument out of a fruit and decorated it with flower petals, gems, ribbon and bird feathers. Each elf used a different method to decorate their instrument. Methods for making the instruments included embroidery, quilting, collage, weaving, needlework, applique, filigree and beading. Don't ask how, just go with it. Please keep your answers in this order when you tell which elf used which fruit to make which instrument using which kind of flowers, which gems, which color ribbon and which kind of bird feathers with which method.

Cardinal feathers were used between opals and diamonds.
Charles used daisies and gold ribbon.
Oriole feathers were used after quilting.
Scott used hibiscus flowers and dove feathers.
The harp was next to grapes.
Bagpipes were decorated with roses.
Scott was two places away from the pear, and silver ribbon was NOT used between them.
James decorated a pumpkin with opals.
Cardinal feathers were next to berries.
Applique was used before rubies.
The xylophone was decorated with sunflowers and rubies.
Bagpipes were between the bugle and the instrument decorated with oriole feathers.
Weaving was two places away from daisies, but embroidery was NOT used between them.
A lemon was decorated with emeralds using quilting.
The gold ribbon came after the green ribbon.
The xylophone was before the pumpkin.
Hibiscus flowers adorned a melon, NOT an apple.
Yellow ribbon was next to iris blossoms.
Peacock feathers came after jade gems.
The bugle was made using embroidery.
Beading was between daffodils and the organ.
The sitar instrument was next to green ribbon.
Honey used daffodils.
Yellow ribbon was next to oriole feathers.
Hibiscus flowers came before Honey's instrument.
Dawn made a fife, NOT a gong.
Collage was used next to rubies.
Parrot feathers were next to oriole feathers.
The harp was decorated with blue ribbon.
Violet ribbon was used next to green ribbon.
Grace was next to the elf using embroidery.
Amethyst gems were used with canary feathers, NOT flamingo feathers.
Sparrow feathers were used next to cardinal feathers.
Weaving was used next to the melon.
Iris blossoms were used with opals.
Needlework was used next to the banana.
Red ribbon was used between grapes and orange ribbon.
Daisies were used with topaz gems, NOT sapphires.
Jade gems were used between Walter's and lilies.
Peacock feathers were next to carnations.
Jade gems were used by Scott, NOT Holly.

Post 10. How Charities Can Participate in THE Music Fest

+ Post a banner to this event. You may use any banner in the Banner Post #13, or your ticket if you bought one.

+ Post a song title representing your charity next to the banner for this event. Any song title that respects Gaia TOS and Rules is fine, and you don't have to link the actual song.

+ Charity Bumps must include the name of the charity and may be bumped by any staff member. These bumps do not count for the staff member's personal bump count.

+ Keep actively giving throughout the event

11. Bumping Contest Rules

*Bumpers must hold a ticket, which The Santa Clause sells for just 400g.

*Post in this thread and please number your bumps. (Any bump/post that isn't numbered doesn't count towards the bumping contest.)

*If you are bumping for a charity, you must put what charity you are bumping for in each post. (Ex: Bump 1 for ______)

*You may use the word "bump," a graphic, or another posted word/phrase --just please be consistent -- it makes it easier to check!

*There will be two bumping contests. The first one starts on July 1st and runs till August 16th. The second starts on the 17th of August and runs till the 27th.

*The bumper with the most bumps wins 4k. 2nd Place Prize is 2k. Third Place Prize is 1k. Bumpers who tie for two places (or all three places) will split the winnings.

BITTERSWEET CHARITY ANBU SQUAD RECRUITMENT ( looking for helpers ! )

As we all know, summer is coming to an end quickly & september is just right around the corner. Unfortuanately, i`ll be quite busy when school starts since i`ll be having quite a few AP classes to take care of. Thus, after about 3 years of running this charity all by myself, i`ll be in need of some assistant when school starts. i`m looking for a few generous & kind gaians that will be able to help run this charity while my time is limited during the school year. Being a helper will not require giving any of your personal items / gold, so whether you are quite wealthy or poor will not matter. I`ll still be around to give donations and stop by whenever i can, so yeah. I`m simply just looking for a few kind souls out there.
