Depends on your way of thinking, Katana.

ok let's look at my way of thinking...

here's my general school experience:

-have always been in a class of noisy children who don't know how to keep a civil head if it meant their life

-mom and older cuz were my earliest elementary teachers before i went to public school and they instilled a lot of good qualities in me

-never tried to make friends cause i knew that for the most part i couldn't relate to others. this became especially true once middle/high school rolled around

-the few friends i did try to make were fickle at best and generally just used me for my brain which has had negative side effects on my personality

-both the teachers and students had the potential to be brain-dead morons, so in most classes i was teaching myself more than the teacher was and they had the audacity to get angry at me if i either corrected them or occupied my time with other pursuits seeing as they were moving too slow for me

-i always had loads of pressure on me to do well and set a positive example being that i'm the oldest sibling as well as the oldest grandchild in the immediate family

-my carefree demeanor from my younger days was continually stripped away from me, completely hollowing my personality until i used anime/manga/videogames as an escape

-referring to the last point, everything i was pretty much ever interested in for some reason or another was demonized by my family

-people generally saw me as angry or sad when i was normal or neutral so they always offered help when i didn't need it instead of when i really did

all in all, i'm surprised i'm doing as well as i am considering how many stability problems i have. just goes to show that a strong will or goal is enough to keep a person alive. too bad i'm slowly losing faith in everything though...

... kudos for at least still having faith in them, at least.

which is why i have started to embrace the "who gives a damn?" way of thinking.

sure it's not perfect, and i'll still have remnants of my current personality, but i should be ok.

and more importantly: why does one piece of paper determine your way of life?

who cares if you graduated, as long as you can do work and do it well, it shouldn't matter if you go to school or not, right?

and more importantly: why does one piece of paper determine your way of life?

Because people deem it important, sadly.

So I just found out something interesting.
You can mail a banana as is.

no postage? just the fruit itself?

Well, yeah, postage and an address. But thats it.
