Here we celebrate Samhain and those who have passed on. We light lanterns and walk the streets in festival attire. This year we will be dressed in mourning attire and screaming, Wake the dead! Time to wake up!
It's a lot of fun. We bake pumpkin bread, make mead, have fall vegetable stew and carve pumpkins with candles to welcome our ancestors home for the evening.
We also celebrate the fall harvest and the great things we've enjoyed this past year. I can't wait for Samhain and Yule. There's always the smell of change, seasons bringing forth new and better things and knowing we made it through another year. And LOT'S of apple cider! Yummmmmmy.

Yes, similar to Dia De Los Muertos. I'm working on my costume for this year. I bought a black top hat I'm decorating with black tulle, black netting, a large red silk rose and blood red ribbon. I'm also going to black lace on it. Then I'm going to create a mourning gown with dark red and black and wear it with fishnets and boots. Kind of like a Victorian Riding Hat & outfit.
Very Gothic Lolita-ish.
I can't wait! I want to promote a Gothic Wedding on my website. I'd be soooo stoked to do it.
