not sure but I'll go with D&D since its the oldest thing I can think of that uses it
um what was the first table to0p rpg thats where gp started idk if d&d was the first but its been out there for the longest with the easiest system to use
also im assuing certi doesnt know what cp and sp stand for either or what pp stands for
cp=copper piece
sp= sliver peice
pp=platinum peice
there are 10cp in a sp
and 10 sp in 1 gp
and 1000 gp in 1pp

@certi- its a tabletop RPG using books and dice to play it is also an online RPG as a video game and a video game table top.
@lnk1001- did you look that up on like wikipedia or something cause there is alot more to the game then that most the time there are pre made enemies for the players to fight as part of the DM or dungeon masters story. Enemies are usually rolled when either it is a pre-made story or if the players do something the dm didn't account for and needs a quick enemy for the players to fight.
