Listen up, because I'm only going to say this once. We had some douche come through at one point and inform us that we should donate to him instead of only donating to rich people. Now that Lady has calmed down enough that she won't throw things at people while she's writing, this is her response to ANYONE who thinks we only donate to "rich people".

Lady would like to say...

Okay, here's the deal. You CANNOT judge how rich a person is just by the items they are wearing on their avatar. Just because somebody might have an Angelic Staff or a couple of Pixies, it doesn't follow that they have a ton of gold. People should NOT have to sell items that they worked hard to get or paid for with real-world money to finish their quests. That is why this charity exists. Hell, that's why just about ANY charity exists.

For example: Okay, I have close to 200k in gold as I'm typing this. But it's all tied up in my quest for the OMFG. Once I get the OMFG, I'll be questing for Striped Stockings. Now, I could just turn around and sell the OMFG, which would give me more than enough gold for the stockings. But that would be stupid, after all the work I've done to get the hat in the first place. End example. You get my point?

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you think we "only donate to rich people", you're as wrong as it is humanly possible to be without spontaneously catching fire from all the wrongness. Okay? And if you can't keep opinions like that to yourself, then you had better just leave this thread right now, because you will NEVER get a donation from us.

Welcome to Gifting Faeries! This is your hostess, Jessie - but you'll hear more about me later.

Right now, you want to know about the Faeries, right? Right. So, let me tell you a story:

It all started one beautiful Gaian day. xXLady of MidnightXx was lurking on Gaia, as she often does. But this day was different, because Midnight was lurking in the Charities/Questing subforum, rather than her usual haunts.

She began to see an alarming number of people who were questing with little or no help from the Gaian community. And she decided to do something about it.

She had a variety of items in her inventory that were of little or no use to her, and that gave her an IDEA. Yes, one of those dangerous ideas that come in all caps.

She created the persona of the Gifting Faerie. That day, the Faerie visited many threads, giving away little gifts wherever she went. Spreading joy to all Gaians. Being universally...loved? She thinks so.

That's how this thread began. And now, Lady is trying to spread her love to as many people as possible! But for that, she needs help. Hence, the Gifting Faeries - plural. Astonishingly, we’ve managed to give little (and sometimes not-so-little) gifts to more than 200 Gaians, and we’re still going! Lady feels so…old. But happy. ^_^

Thank you for your interest in being a faerie. If I see you around our thread often enough, you might get asked to be a faerie, but then again you might not. It depends on my whim.

• PG-13. I've got siblings here, and I don't want them reading your smut. Smutsmutsmut. It's a funny word. But still not cool.
  
• If one of the faeries tells you to do something, please DO IT!

Gifting Faeries has traditionally contained the chibi art shop of ]Broken_Angel[. However, the last time I spoke with her, she was swamped by school, and that was quite some time ago, so we don’t know if she’s still around. Since she hasn’t gotten in touch with us in a while, I’m putting her shop on hold to give her the chance to keep caught up with Real Life.

I’d like to offer any of the artists who hang out with us the chance to be displayed in this section. If you have an art or graphics shop, and would like us to recognize you, send a PM to me (not Lady or Jessie, please!) with a link and a brief description of what you sell.

Well, hi there! My name is xXLady of MidnightXx. But please, just call me Lady or Midnight. It’s so much easier, don’t you think?

I’m younger than a lot of our other thread regulars and faeries: only 19 years old. Well, that’s above the average age of Gaians, I think, but I don’t feel old…

I’m a sophomore in college, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Spanish. As you can imagine, that doesn’t leave me with much free time! ^_^”

In real life, I’m actually a really shy person until I get used to new people, but not much of that translates onto Gaia! Once I’ve adopted you into our (not so) little family, you can expect me to randomly appear offering hugs, cookies, and wild tomfoolery. Especially the wild tomfoolery, because I love to have fun.

When I’m not online, it’s a good bet that I’m curled up with a book somewhere, or out with my real life friends getting into trouble. Or baking, because I love to bake. That can often be a problem, because I’m a major klutz. It’s really a wonder I still have ten fingers and haven’t set myself on fire yet this year. (Well, actually, I don’t think I’ve ever set myself on fire, but I’ve burned more than one potholder. And don’t ever let me near hot oil, no matter how much I’m craving fried zucchini.)

I really can’t stand people who are rude or mean. Seriously, is a little common courtesy too much to ask for? The only thing I ask of you is that you please follow our rules.

Actually, I’d like to ask for cookies too. Please? Lady likes cookies.

Because Jessie put the idea into my head, here are some pictures of the lovely Lady:

Do you know about jessieomer? Well do ya? No. I thought so. Well thats why this section is here. As you can see jessie is the shorter version of both her gaian and real name.

In real life jessie is an organized slob. She has about a months worth of laundry she has to do, But we won't talk about that anymore. It's sad really. She stands about 4'9' and is only 20 years old. Do not mock her on her shortness.

Other than that she is a real mack daddy piano player. Okay so she's only a beginner bur she rocks those beginners songs hard. She was also in a talent competition. She got the audiences applause but the judges did not put her through to the next round.Those evil judges.

Other things she does is craft. She is very talented when it comes to plastic canvas, and has even made headshot ones of her gaian avatar. She sells all of her crafts anywhere from 25 cents to a full 10$. If you want one then get in contact with her and beware to pay at least 2$ for a simple headsewn one.
