It does get quite annoying, especially when feeling unappreciated at home for all the running around I do. It's going to be weird when my sister actually gets over her fear of driving and is driving on her own all the time. I'll likely not know what to do when that happens, but as that's probably several months away, I can only imagine how that will be. xd
Oh, I know a bit of how that is, with cleaning at work, and no one really recognizing you. Early last week I did some cleaning of the registers, getting some of the worst gunk and crap off of the metal areas around the belt, down to the floor, and I think only two of the CSMs knew I was actually cleaning, and working hard at it. When I was done that day, I got a 'thank you and we appreciate you', type deal, but that's about it. The worst part is that the manager of the store actually has four people that he hired to do the heavy cleaning of the registers every week, and they get four eight-hour days a week for the job, but by how hard I had to work to clean just six of the thirty registers we have, you can tell how often it doesn't actually get done. I know my legs and hips were sore from all of the stretching, and kneeling, and moving around I did, and I only was cleaning for just shy of four hours. gonk And then I was sore for the next two or three days after. xp
That would be nice, if they did recognize you in a meeting like that. Kinda like, "Hey 'Kitty', we really appreciate all that you do in the store to help keep us running well, and make sure everything is organized, etc., and everything else you do to go above and beyond." That's an awesome possibility! Kinda would make me wanna get people in there that would be good for the job, and it would be like, 'Get in here so I can train you for my job, so I can switch departments.' xd
Oh, I know there are positives and negatives to everything. Like for your current position, running all over the store is good exercise, but in constantly running all over, you have the possibility of stretching or straining something, like you've obviously already experienced, without tripping over anything, or injuring yourself. Just from plain overuse did the sprain come about. 3nodding
It's even gotten to the point, that when I'm home, even as tired as I am from standing all day, I still stand around in the kitchen for a few good hours. I had two days off in a row this week, and the same this upcoming week, and I re-realized that sitting all day in a chair, no matter how comfy, is not great for my back, no matter how I sit. gonk I will just have to remember to remind myself that I do need to get up and move around more on my days off, no matter how I would want to just sit and be lazy, that doesn't do any good for my back. But, it's time to get ready for a busy weekend at work, and as long as things don't change, I'm going out for a game night on Saturday. Which is gonna be fun, and a bit different, seeing as I don't usually get out very often. The last time was New Years, so a month later is getting a bit of frequency going on. xd
