About Sheeef
In this next post you will get to learn all about the user behind Sheeef and his many accounts. You will learn of his good experiences and his not-so-good experiences here on gaia. He will also offer you a little bit of an auto-biography for you, summarizing his short life so far... well maybe not as detailed as you may expect but enough for you to get the general gist. He will also add whatever he feels like into this post because... this post is all about Sheeef. <3
Who is Sheeef in the real world?
I'm just your average 19 year old kid. You know; video game obsessed, busy with work, and always pursuing my dreams. So you want to know what I did with my life? Well here, sit down and I'll let you in on a little portion of my life. I grew up in the north, in the cold winters of Minnesota. I grew up as an athlete. I've been playing soccer forever it seems like. And as such, I've been able to keep a mean, lean, and lithe form; keeping the soccer player physique. Anyway. I'm not here to brag about my "in shape-ness". I'm trying to get you to visualize what I look like. I'm roughly 5'7" in height and around 130 lbs. I'm a skinny average kid. Yay!
What do I like to do for fun? Well at 19, I've had my first taste of college and realized that it wasn't for me. I attended UMD (the University of Minnesota in Duluth) for a semester and a half, studying to be photographer and a graphic designer. Even though I didn't finish I still learned quite a bit to continue my passion. I'm an avid photographer. I love photography, it is one of my greatest passions in life. That brings me to another one of my passions. I love computers. I love most things that encompass computers. I am operating off of a Macbook Pro. You're probably like "Ew, Macs." and I will rebuttle with this "To each is one's own." I use my Mac for it's abilities. Adobe Photoshop, Art Rage, Illustrator, Corel Painter, and a bunch of other software works for me. I don't really use this to play games on I use it for work. Windows are good for video gaming because of it's compatibility and Macs are good for doing work like photoediting and stuff, which is what I use it for.
Another thing I love is music. I'm a very musically inclined person. I love most anything. I can even enjoy the twang of country, the beat and bump of hip hop and R&B, the 3/4 tempo of some classical music, and the catchy lyrics and rhythm of pop and rock. My favorite genre, I must say, is techno, still love the boom boom beats. But not only do I like to listen to music, I like to create it. I've been playing piano since I was 6. I probably would have majored in music if my passion for photography wasn't so influential but I'm a lazy butt and practicing for 5 hours a day was a huge turn off. I also played clarinet in high school; I don't know if I still have it but I could probably pick it back up if I felt so inclined. I am always open to new music so if you have a suggestion for me please let me know. I would really appreciate that.
Anyway. So now you know that I'm an art crazed music loving kinda guy. You may also like to know that I'm gay, obviously Tiger is my boyfriend. Tiger goes by NikoTundra, my co-owner and partner in crime, here around gaia. Now you may wonder why I always call him Tiger and I guess that I'll let you in on a little inside knowledge about me. I'm part of the Furry Fandom and I am a furry, and a proud one at that. What is a furry you might ask? Well a furry is someone who basically views their persona as a type of customized animal rather than a human; customizing one's soul, if you will, based on characteristics and traits that the person may exhibit. So yes. My fursona, as we call our personas, is a blue husky with a pink faux hawk. You may have seen my art of my fursona in my signature many times. Well, my Tiger's fursona is of a white Bengal tiger, very pretty animal to go with a very beautiful person. In the real world, you wouldn't really be able to distinguish me as a fur in a group of people but online you can find me browsing and submitting art work on FA, the DA for furs, and bumming around gaia. I started causing mischief around this site back in February 2004 as a tiny newblet. I didn't really know what was going on but I did know that I was addicted to this site... er... happily addicted to this site. I loved gaia back then. People were so nice and open-hearted for the newbies. There were more charities than there were quest threads, you know? Ah well. Over the years I've endured hardships; a few bannings and a hacking, but nothing that could tarnish my addiction to this site. As I grew older and more independent so did my love for this site. I began donating real money for the DIs and with it I began to accrue my wealth. I started exchanging, boosting my wealth and popularity higher and higher. I was on top of the world. I owned items that some people could only dream of. I had ports, I played with tails, I even had a few pairs of 03 slippers. But nothing could satisfy my burning desire for the near impossible; the angelic halo. I've had my eye on that golden donut for a few years now and nothing has really given me the motivation to quest for it, until now.
Let me fill you in on a few details that I think be prudent for you to know, in order to understand where I'm coming from. Many of you know me as Zero, as in Zero Poet. Well I've recently relinquished that name and am starting over as Sheeef. I was fairly well known and ran the Charity of Furs (1 & 2). We were a decent sized charity. We had our close followers and dedicated regulars, who, I might add, we loved very much and appreciated all their support and other warm fuzzy feelings they contributed to us. Well, recently I had my account banned for an incident that happened in 2006 and apparently it was non-negotiable. I lost roughly 100m. But it doesn't really stop me or deter my fiery drive onward. It's only until you lose it all do you realize how much you had and took for granted. It's a little refreshing to start over, you know? A clean slate to make your name again.
But now I'm starting over. Questing with friends all over again. And going for one of the most expensive items known on gaia. I would really appreciate your help and friendship while I undertake this daunting task. But I know that as long as I don't give up I cannot fail. I will do what I can. I will donate to gaia, exchange for profit, and do everything in my power to raise money for myself. However, as much as I want to hoard my gold, it just doesn't feel like me, which is why I will be turning this thread into a hangout and charity. Once I get a little more back onto my feet, I will get it up and running into a charity and hangout. I really do love donating rather than receiving.
I've created quite a name for myself and my fursona. Yes. I'm a fur. If you don't know what a fur, better known as an anthropomorphic, is feel free to scroll down and read the post about the charity portion of this thread. There I explain more in detail about what a furry person is. My fursona is easily recognized around gaia. I'm a blue husky with a pink fauxhawk. I'm often seen with my Tiger, who happens to be a white snow tiger. Very beautiful. But still. Yes. I'm your gaian husky. If you have any questions feel free to ask away, as long as it's polite and non-offensive. Just thought you should know about that side of me.

Who is Niko in the real world?
Ok, I've ignored this post for long enough, so I guess it is about time I tell you all about myself. I guess a good place to start is the basics, soooooooooo here we go. I'm twenty two years old (born in 1987 so do the math if this thread is over a year old, haha), male, born and raised in the heart of the United States, Missouri. I am the youngest of four kids, so I guess I was a little spoiled as a kid... used to be terribly afraid of the dark, so much so that I slept with all the lights on in my room. Sports have never been my thing, always been more of a bookworm... but I have done baseball, track and field, and basketball. I got talked into (AKA forced) into basketball in middle school because I'm tall... 6'5". But yeah, I would have much rather been doing math homework, lol! Yes, I'm a dork... I loved school and actually miss it now that I have graduated. And by graduated, I mean from college. In May I received my bachelors degree in Mathematics and Chemistry. What I'm doing now you ask? Hell if I know! Haha. Yeah... life is still a mystery to me, but I'm working on getting a full time job and maybe going back to grad school later.
Oh, and other little details, I'm gay and a fur. I say little details as sort of irony, but also because I try to make me more than my sexuality (the gay part). As for being a fur, my fursona is a white Siberian tiger, with deep blue and black blended striped. But anyway, probably the most important part of my life is my mate (boyfriend). As you've already read, Sheef (AKA Zero or Ryry) and I have been together over a year now. I love him more than words could ever say, pictures could ever depict, or thoughts could ever imagine. He is a wonderful Husky, so beautiful inside and out. He never ceases to make me smile and laugh... it's even fun to watch him play games (like Oblivion currently)! X3 He does the best self commentary! But yeah... he is my everything... so don't cross him or you'll be on my bad side!
Things that I love to do... now that may be a little hard to answer as I tend to enjoy a lot of things. I've definitely grown up in my brother's footsteps and am a pretty big gamer. I have almost every single Gameboy ever made, had the old school Sega hand held system, had every Nintendo platform... and now I have currently the Wii, XBox 360 (elite), PS2, and Nintendo DS. I'm a fan of a lot of games, but I play mostly RPGs... though lately my Husky has been getting me into shooters, I love the F.E.A.R. series! (If you ever want to play anything with me on XBox Live, PM me about my gamertag!)
Aside from video games, I do love me some music. I'll listen to just about every genre there is aside from rap and opera. I've never been a fan of opera voices (no offense to anyone, it does take a lot of talent, just not my thing)... and well rap just doesn't do it for me either. My favorite genre though by far is techno, gotta love it! Funny story, sometimes at work my boss will turn the radio to a country station and randomly there will be a song I know and I'll sing with it... and then she turns to me and is like "I still don't see you as a country guy". It makes me chortle!
Furthermore, I love art... although I'm not very good at it. I try and draw sometimes, but I'm very perfectionistic and will erase a line a thousand times before I'm happy with it, if I ever am, lol. But perhaps my favorite for of artistic expression is photography. It used to be just a random passion of mine to whip out my cell phone and snap a picture of the sunset... but since I've been with my Husky he has taught me a lot about composition and such. I began my Gaian career back in November 2006. My best friend Tanith talked me into starting an account and in a couple short months I was hooked. I've met some of the coolest people in my years here, and will keep them as friends forever! ^w^ My first quest was for six dark halos, and I remember thinking it would take me forever. But with the encouragement and help of friends I finished my quest and moved onto bigger things. After I developed a bit of wealth I began hoarding items... I used to just exchange in MP, buying low things I found here and there. But after getting to know some more experienced users I learned different techniques of making gold... and since I'm too lazy to exchange hardcore, hoarding seemed the best for me. So basically I've bought, held on to, sold, and repeated my way up to some pretty large items... items I never thought I'd be able to have. And as much as I love questing, I also like giving back... which is why I was very excited when my mate brought me on to the Charity of Furs v2... and now v3!

Why am I questing for the near impossible?
Well, my friends, I've been around gaia for quite some time. I've always tried to be selfless and giving towards other gaians and people for that matter. But the halo to me is more than just a limited pixel. It's a status of wealth and history; a status that I hope one day I can achieve. Many people have tried and have given up on this quest but I know I will not fail. I have friends to guide me and to keep me company through the long journey. And I understand that the road will be rough, it always is for the questor, but look at it this way it gives me a lot more time to hangout with my friends. I'd just really enjoy the ability to wear an angelic halo. Make a husky's dream come true?

Well, my friends, I've been around gaia for quite some time. I've always tried to be selfless and giving towards other gaians and people for that matter. But the halo to me is more than just a limited pixel. It's a status of wealth and history; a status that I hope one day I can achieve. Many people have tried and have given up on this quest but I know I will not fail. I have friends to guide me and to keep me company through the long journey. And I understand that the road will be rough, it always is for the questor, but look at it this way it gives me a lot more time to hangout with my friends. I'd just really enjoy the ability to wear an angelic halo. Make a husky's dream come true?
