I'm sure most of you don't want to make your own homemade pasta, but if you do, pm me and I"ll share that part with you also. When I use premade noodles, I prefer barilla lasagna sheets. They don't need to be precooked.
Now comes the layering... First I put a thin layer of sauce in the baking pan, then I lay a layer of lasagna noodles, then I put spoonfuls of the meat and sauce all over the noodles, then I drop dollops of the cheese mixture all over. On an average pan I would put 12 dollops per layer. Then I put a layer os shredded mozzarella over the cheese mixture, I do this two more times for the additional layers. For the top layer after I lay the noodles down, I put the meat sauce mixture, and the cheese mixture, but do not put the final layer of cheese on until the last 20 minutes of baking time. I place the pan in the over at 350 degrees for 1 hour, then I pull it out and place the shredded cheese on top for the additional 20 minutes. So the total baking time will be 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Any questions...pm me.
