For the meat and sauce, I start a large pot of tomatoes (appx a dozen big beefy ones) and two cups of water. I boil it down and blend up the tomatoes once they are cooked through. (if it becomes to thick you can add tomato juice or water)Then I add 1 Tbsp seasoned salt, 2 Tbsp Garlic Salt with Parsely, 3 Tbsp dried basil or 2 Tbsp fresh chopped, and 1 tsp oregano. Add these seasonings once the tomatoes are chopped/ blended up. Let simmer on low heat for at least an hour. Meanwhile in a different pan, I take one large sweet vidalea onion and mince into small pieces. I brown it in butter in a frying pan, once it starts to turn golden, I add 2 lbs ground beef and 1 pounds pork or seasoned pork and cook, chopping the meat into small pieces as it fries up. Once the meat is done, add it to the sauce. (If you chose to use Spaghetti sauce, which is what I do when I'm short on time, I fry up the meat and then add the sauce and seasonings to it, and let it simmer for 30 minute on low heat.
