I'm not sure if it's also available in the other editions, but apparently it's a challenge in Sims 3. Every first born for 8 generations must become immortal. When you've achieved that, your clan gets either a museum or mausoleum (I forgot which) featuring, well, your entire family. But it's not that easy to achieve since there's a lot of requirements to be fulfilled. But it makes good reading if you decide to make it a story, kind of like a biography of your whole family :p
