I have no problems with screams.

It's the way the screams are done,
and how skillfully the song and vocals are
used in accordance with the instruments....

Alesana just sounds like they're spitting
songs out, trying to be like all the other little
screamo bands... It just doesn't work for me...

Well, Thunderhorse. Since you seem to be a big fan of that... Alesana band, or whatever... Pick one of their songs, and tell me what it's about... I'm not a fan of screaming people, but If a song has a good message I might appreciate it.

the only music i have a problem with is rap, hip-hop and pop.....and linkin park
but all other music is good in its respective way...i may not personally like them but i admit thay they are good...you cant be a biast music major in college(i will be majoring in music theory or whatever it is called when im in college....or some form of music)
just dont bash alesana they got me into playing the drums and now i kick a** in them...there like my heroes...

alesana writes music based on certain topics in fantasies
like most of their 1st album was about greek and roman myths like the song ambrosia was based of the story of king midas, while on their 2nd album delt with the brothers grim, but the song "this is usually the part where people scream" is based off the tv show heroes

Lol, all Linkin Park, or just anything featuring Mike Shinoda instead of Chester Bennington? Random aside for a joke one of my Music Major friends told me (please ignore it anyone here who likes rap/hip hop): Music is like candy - to enjoy it you have to toss the wrappers. biggrin
Some rap I can bear with - I might not enjoy it, but it doesn't make me go homicidal or anything... But I've got trouble enjoying blue grass and southern gospel... Huge fan of Corvus Corax though (yeah, I get kinda eclectic). Havent heard of Alesana before though. Similar to/sounds like ??
