Welcome to A Panda and Penguin Charity Tribute!



You may have heard of gaia users PandaMarie1025 and _xX Es-One Xx_. They've become quite big names from being the proprietors of DolphinMania. But you might not have known that they ran a little charity long before they cooked up that Booty Grab site. I stumbled upon their charity less than a month after they had opened it up. I was still a fresh gaian then, without even 10k to my name, and a quest for an 800k katana that seemed totally impossible. Panda and everyone else welcomed me with a warmth that I had almost never come across people as friendly as that (with the exception of my good friend SonicSweeti of course wink ). Within a week, I ended up with a nearly 100k item from an "anonymous" benefactor. The charity quickly became my main hangout on gaia. At some points, the only thing I would do on gaia was to post in the charity.

Christmas time rolled around, and I was only 250,000 gold toward my quest, and the katana had risen to 1,200,000. I was depressed, certain that the item that I wanted most would continue to stay out of my reach. Then I got an early Christmas present from Panda. I opened it, and there it was. The very katana that I had been questing so long for. I was floored. That item was, and still is, the most valuable item that I have ever received, and remains my most treasured item.

Time continued to pass, and I found myself as a charity Mod. I watched as Panda and Es made dolphinmania, and was even one of their bata testers. I watched Panda gather an incredible amount of gold, yet she would not spend it on her own avatar. She ended up giving every ounce of it away.

And now, both Panda and Es have had to leave gaia for personal reasons, and may not be back for quite a while. As Panda's trusted charity Mod, I have taken it upon myself to make a new charity, to keep Panda's dream of making other gaian's dreams possible, alive until she returns. Yay! You have made it this far. Now, before you run off and fill out the form below,
make sure you have read the rules. Trust me, I will know if you have!

♥ Donations are given each week on Sunday. If you get accepted expect it Sunday! ♥
♥ You must have a quest thread of at least 15 pages in length, and at least one week old. ♥
♥ Your account must be 2 months old, and have at least 200 forum posts. ♥
♥ In the secret word section, put the words "Blue Taco" ♥
♥ Do not PM us the applications. ♥
♥ Instead of blue taco, put spaghetti. ♥

Q: Do I need a quest thread to get a donation?
A: Yes! It must be a week old, and have at least 15 pages. No exceptions.

Q: Can I have mules apply for a donation?
A: No. Please keep donation requests to your main account.

Q: What if you are not here? Can I still apply?
A: Yes! We will try to get your application as soon as we are online.

Q: How much are your donations?
A: That depends. It's based on how well you've maintained your quest thread, how
hard you've worked and how much funds we have available at the time.
Being active in the charity can increase your donation too. wink

Q: Do I have to be active in the charity to get a donation?
A: Well, there isn't an actual rule about being active to get a donation, but if you post and run,
your donation will be considerably less than if you stick around and chat, so keep that in mind
before you ditch us.

Q: After I get a donation, can I apply for another?
A: Here at the P&P Charity, our donations could be considered to be on the hefty side,
and the charity is funded by other gaians, so if we let people apply as much as they want, we'd
be broke in no time. So we have a general rule of one donation per person. If you're one of our
special regulars who's been with us for a long time, you may get a special consideration for a
second donation if you find yourself in desperate need, but to date, we have yet to give more than
one donation to a particular person, so it's not something you should count on.
