Welcome to the 10th Gaian-Sponsored Nudity Event where we get nude for charity!

The aim of this Event:
We will strive to make our avatars as financially-nude as possible, putting aside our material/pixel possessions for two full weeks in hopes of getting kind Gaians to sponsor us for a cause not our own but rather for someone else.
Think of it like a Jog-a-Thon, but we'll be nude for a number of days instead of running laps around a track.

Brief History:
The Nudity Event started out back in 2004(?) as the 14-Day Famine. For 2 weeks, clothing was removed from avatars to raise gold for charities and quests.
AkibeJosephus, whom was involved in the first 2, took over to host the 3rd & 4th events.
In 2007, for the 5th event, they raised 3.7 million gold! FragileWings_Ele took over for the 6th one after Akibe had stepped back for her own sanity xd and they raised 8.2 million gold.
Akibe took over once again for the 7th Nudity event in 2009 when the event was spotlighted, and we got immensely flooded with people. Even more gold was raised that year - 11.9 million gold!
2010's event set some of the highest records we'd ever seen! OtherWorldShukumei hosted the event to let Akibe deal with her mod duties, and she had lots of help from the designated Helpers. Over 100 nudists joined in the cause, and sponsors tripled our original goal to a ground-breaking 38 million gold! eek
2011's event created the highest record to date, 56 million gold! OtherWorldShukumei returned to host this incredible event.

This year a new host is taking OWS's space while she takes a break.
Uni, who has participated in this event since 08, has decided to take it on with some help from OWS.

Note on Missing Sponsorships:
If it's been a few days since you've finished the event, and you still have a few trades from sponsors that haven't been finished or started, you can send the sponsorship that you've received so far to your charity/quest(s), and give your thread a heads-up about the situation. You do not have to make up the missing gold with your own gold. Simply wait for the sponsorships to be completed and send that later.
If the sponsor has things set to friends only, there may be more options to contact them. Try commenting on their profile, sending them a cheap gift (like a starter shirt) with a smaller message, and/or start up a trade that mentions their sponsorship and how much they promised you.

About sponsors that have not been on Gaia in awhile:
Please send the gold you've earned and exclude their sponsorship. If they haven't logged in in awhile, it's unlikely they're going to return anytime soon. You should move on without them to be done with the event; you do not have to make up the missing sponsorship(s) with your own gold.

Note on Trades:
Gaia still can't get its bank/trade system right. If you notice a trade that you okay'd just randomly disappear, it was likely completed. I haven't seen evidence of the contrary. If it doesn't show up as cancelled, it's probably completed. If you don't remember the gold amount you had before and after the trade disappeared (to try to confirm the gold was added), just contact your sponsor and see if they can't screenshot proof of a completed trade on their end.
It's some sort of glitch in the order of trades that effects users with a lot of open/completed trades. I don't know the specifics, but just be aware, and try to pay extra special attention.

Also, if you can't send a trade to some nudists, use the trade option in their drop-down menu below the avatar instead of the box in the trade window. Again, Gaia's bank can be stupid, and for for some users, it doesn't like certain "symbols".

I can't STRESS how important it is for you to read these and understand. But I can stress that if you are caught breaking any of these rules (some more severe than others), you may be removed from the event (whether you're going nude or not).

• Above all, you must follow Gaia's ToS and Rules & Guidelists. I shouldn't have to add any of those rules to this thread's rules, so be aware of them, as you will be reported if caught breaking any of them.
  
  
• Whether you want to be a Nudist or a Sponsor (or both), you must read over the How To sections for them. They include detailed instructions and rules that you will need to know if you participate in the event.
  
  
• Please do not join the event if you cannot commit to it. This includes not joining if you can't be nude and online for 2 weeks or if you sponsor someone and can't give them what they earned. The event requires a lot of dedication, and when you make a promise and can't keep it, we are sad.
  
  
• DO NOT BEG. For anything, sponsors, nudists, items, donations! It's incredibly rude and will not be tolerated.
  
  
• Do not change your username without letting us know. PM TGSNE2 or a Thread Mod / Helper if you do. It is an extreme headache to chase people down if they don't give us an update. Even if you're a sponsor, let us know.
  
  
• Do not quote entire posts from the front page. Do not stretch a page - including keeping quote towers to a maximum of 5.
  
  
• Keep the bumping to a minimum. Bumping is meant to bring a thread to the front page of the forum so wanderers might see it. Scattered bumps here or there are fine, just don't sit there and fill up a page with bumps because no one's chatting. And don't go ape-s*** on the people that do happen to throw in a bump.
  
  
• When filling out a form (nudist, sponsor, or wanted), please do not use a post style/format. This is just more info that has to be edited out, and it's rather time consuming. And DON'T USE TINYURL LINKS!
  
  
• Do not post your form more than once unless you are asked to. We do not update the thread everyday; someone will get to it. To see how far we've gotten on updates, see the top of the next page.
  
  
• When posting your form, make sure to post the link to the thread you are sponsoring. If not your form will not be added.
  
  
• DO NOT post a form until you have a thread you are going nude for.
  
  
• It's great to thank those who are nuding for or sponsoring you, but if you quote any forms, please make sure to remove the size 18, colored coding/format (this would be the "header" of the form) from the quote so hosts can more easily discern what forms need to be added.

No more nudists will be added after September 28th!

So you want to go nude for a charity or quest? Then this is the post you need to look over!
You'll be stripping down to your undergarments and staying that way for 14 days. Think you can handle the pressure of not putting anything else on during those famished 2 weeks? If you can, you'll get to earn the sponsorships (gold / items) that you collected, and happily hand them over to the charity or quest of your choice!

Step-by-step ( in a nutshell ):

• You find a charity or quest thread that you want to support and ask their permission if you can go nude for them. ( Make sure the thread hasn't already its max number of nudists. )
  
• Then, you fill out the form at the bottom of this post with your info and the charity / quest you're going nude for.
  
• See if your form is accepted or not ( TGSNE2 will quote all forms ).
  
• Wait for other Gaians to come by and fill out a sponsorship form to give you gold / items.
  
• You can put advertisements in your sig, thread, profile, etc and / or add an incentive to try to get people to sponsor you even more.
  
• When the event starts Oct 1st, you strip down to your undergarments for 14 full days, and post at least once a day.
  
• Once the event is over on the 14th ( or when you've completed owed days ), you collect the gold / items from your sponsors.
  
• And then you hand over your earnings to the charity/quest you went nude for.
  
• But don't stop reading! For more refined details, continue to read this post and check out the FAQ post towards the bottom of the page.

First off, the main thing is that you have to be nude and posting all 14 days of the event. No point if you strip and never log on. You need to be active. Miss too many days due to non-nudity ( wearing items you're not supposed to ) or because you don't post, you might be removed from the event.

To be a Nudist, you must:

• You must have been registered on Gaia for at least one month to apply. This is only to ensure that every nudist knows their way around the site by now, and they won't get lost in the workings of the site itself ( trading, PMs, posting, etc ).
  
• You'll need to join the guild. During the event, you'll be posting there to confirm activity ( details below ), and we'll be sending out announcement to let you know what's going on.

Items you are allowed to wear:

Those are the only items you are allowed to wear. No Dancer Bottoms, no Spirited Boxers, no exy negligee, no NPC underwear, no swimwear. The point of the event is to strip down "financially" as well as "physically". Parading around with a skimpy Alruna Rose pose ( although it has more nudity than the undergarments listed ) will not qualify you for the event. Including but not limited to, you cannot wear accessories of any kind (glasses, jewelry, etc), tattoos, non-human skins ( you're welcome to use a mule if you do not want to remove your special skin ), and wigs.

Picking out a Charity or Quest to go Nude for:

• Find a Charity or Quest that you want to go nude for. It can be a place that you frequent, a worthy thread that you run across, or you can look over the Wanted post to see if a thread needs a nudist.
  
• The thread you want to support cannot be your own. If you have access to the account that runs the charity or quest, and especially if you have access to the thread's gold, you cannot apply to be the nudist. If you are a thread mod, and help out with other things, you can apply though.
  
• All threads must be at least one month old and have 10 pages before you can apply to be its nudist (if it's not a month old yet, just wait to submit the form until it qualifies). The thread must also stay active before and during the event ( See FAQ for "specifics" on activeness ). If the thread closes or becomes inactive, you'll have to find a new thread to go nude for.
  
• You must ask the thread owner for permission to go nude for them! If they don't know about the event, be sure to link and explain it to them. Newly added: In your form you must add proof that the thread owner is okay with you going nude for them. It can be a link to a post where they said okay, a screen shot of a PM where they said okay, or we'll need the thread owner to PM TGSNE2 with their approval ( with your name ).
  
• If you do add a thread to nude for later on, you MUST inform your current sponsors. If they were sponsoring you for a specific thread, it's not fair to cut that sponsorship in half if they only wanted it to go to the one thread.
  
• You may go nude for more than one thread, but be realistic! ( We may set a limit eventually, but I haven't noticed much more than 5 per nudist. )
  
• The thread you choose cannot have reached its max number of nudists. Charities are allowed 5 nudists, and Quests are allowed 3 nudists. You can see the threads and their nudists listed in the Affiliates post. If it's full, please pick a different thread.

To be considered Active during the event:

• Remember that during this event, you'll need to be on Gaia as much as is humanly possible.
  
• This year, rather than having Helpers scour through your post history to make sure you've posted each day, we've got a Guild forum set up just to confirm your activity! During the 14 days of the event, you'll post in a thread in a specified sub-forum. It's a thread that you'll create and only you will post in. You must post in it every day. Your designated Helper will check in that thread to make sure you've posted. This way, your privacy will stay intact and the ease of verifying your activity will be, well, much easier. More information and link are forthcoming.
  
• If you don't post in the aforementioned thread, you'll need to send your Helper proof of activity on Gaia elsewhere. Did you post in the forum? Did you post in another guild? Running around in Towns or zOMG won't count as activity since we cannot verify it.
  
• If you miss any days for whatever reason, you'll accumulate owed days. These owed days will be tacked onto the end of the event, and you'll need to remain nude and continue posting until the days are made up. Accumulate 7 owed days and you will be removed from the event for inactivity; 50% is, after all, failing.

Other things you need to know:

• Remember the thread rules. Follow ToS, be committed to the event, don't go changing your username, etc. But especially, DO NOT BEG! Don't beg for sponsorships. No one likes beggars. Use your signature or thread(s) if necessary.
  
• You may offer incentives to increase your chances of getting sponsors. However, we will not allow "Highest sponsor gets...". The alternative is when you have collected all gold, you can allocate a number - say per 100g sponsored or something - and do a lotto for the winner of an item or whatever you're offering. Gifts for all sponsors are acceptable. Add any incentives to your form if you wish or post it separately later.
  
• Be sure to put your correct timezone in your form. Check out the TimeZone Map to find yours based on Greenwich Mean Time.

So you want to contribute gold and / or items for the cause? Then this is the post you want to read!

How to Be a Sponsor ( in a nutshell ):

• Read the thread rules first if you haven't! Even if you were invited or linked to this post, that's no excuse not to read a thread's rules.
  
• You look over the list of nudists and find one that you want to give gold or items to.
  
• You then fill out the form at the bottom of this post with their info, your info, and how much you want to give them.
  
• Nothing else is required of you until the event is over on October 14th. That is when you'll need to send the gold / items that you promised to the nudist(s) you chose.

Other Things You'll Need to Know:

• Please think carefully before sponsoring. We will not be holding you at gun/knife point. It is solely your choice if you want to help someone out by sponsoring.
  
• If you choose to help, you may sponsor as little or as much as you would like ( though please keep a note of who you are sponsoring and how much so that you keep it within a realistic limit that you can afford! ). We don't want anyone suddenly overwhelmed by how much they've offered out. It is great to help someone, but not to the point where you feel too much pressure to earn what you've promised.
  
• You may browse through the nudist list and see if there's a nudist, quest, or charity that takes your fancy. Some nudists may also be offering incentives to sponsors so feel free to check them out, too.
  
• Pledged sponsorships are to be sent to the nudist once the event is over ( and then the nudist gives the collected gold / items to the charity/quest ). You can send early, of course, at your own discretion but sponsorships are not due until the nudist has completed the 14 days of nudity. Be careful if you do send sponsorships early because there are cases of nudists being removed from the event, and if a trade was finished, we can't promise that the gold will get to where it needs to go.
  
• We will be keeping track of sponsors by including the thread page where they posted their sponsor form. This means you, the nudists, and the event moderators, will be able to double check information easily.
  
• You cannot sponsor your own charity / quest with your charity / quests funds. If we catch anyone trying to get in on sponsorship incentives given by their nudist and spending gold that should be used for the charity or their quest, we will remove the charity/quest from the event. This isn't to say that you can't use charity / quest funds to sponsor others, but you can't give gold to your nudist whom is going to give the gold back.
  
• You can fill out more than one nudist in one form, but be sure to clarify sponsorship amounts to each individual. But if you do more than one in a post, put them in alphabetical order please!

If You Want a Nudist:

• In order to ask for a nudist for your thread, it must meet certain requirements to insure that it won't 'die' anytime around the event.
  
  1. The thread must have been created by August 20, 2012 (6 weeks before the event starts.)
  2. The thread must be one month old and have at least 10 pages when the form is submitted. If it doesn't yet qualify, submit the form when it does.
  3. If it doesn't meet the requirements because it is a remake of an old thread... it might be accepted if the old thread does meet all the requirements ( post a link to it ) and the new thread is close to and will eventually meet the requirements before the event starts.
  4. The thread must remain active before and during the event ( See FAQ for "specifics" on activeness ), or it will be removed from the list.
  
  
• Each thread will have limit of the number of nudists it is allowed to have. Charities can have up to 5 nudists, and Quests can have up to 3 nudists. The threads and those going nude for them are listed in the Affiliates post.
  
• And we will only allow up to 10 of each thread in this post to conserve space. If there are 10 or more Quest threads listed below, please wait until one is removed. If there are 10 or more Charity threads listed below, please wait until one is removed.
  
• Gold incentives for nudists are not allowed. You can give each one an item, art, or discount ( at a shop or whatever ). Or you can put them in a raffle for those.

Q. How do I join?
A. Please read the appropriate sections such as for nudists or for sponsors.

Q. Can I put my charity or quest forward to advertise for a nudist?
A. Yes you can. You will find the details in the Wanted section.

Q. Can I pull out of the event?
A. You can pull out as a nudist or sponsor, just make sure you post in the thread and inform your chosen charity / quest / nudist. You can't pull out once the event starts.

Q. What does it mean to be active?
A. Nudists must post in the designated thread 14 consecutive days. Running around in town / zOMG or playing games won't work, since helpers cannot verify your activity. The post doesn't have to be intelligent, even a simple bump is fine.
As far as a charity / quest thread needing to be active, there should be at least 1 post a week especially by the thread creator; charities should have a few more posts than that, assuming that they have regulars.

Q. What if I miss some days as a nudist?
A. If you can't get on Gaia to post even a random bump, your missed days will be tacked onto the end of the 2 week event as "owed days" where you'll have to continue to be nude until you've completed a full 14 days.

Q. How many days am I allowed to miss?
A. If you can avoid it, none. But nudists can accumulate up to a 7 days owed before they'll be disqualified from the event. Once the event's over, it's rather a hassle for helpers to continue watching you, but it's unfair for the charity / quest you're supporting to just lose out on the extra earnings.

Q. Can I sponsor myself?
No, there's no point in it really. You're welcome to add an incentive that you'll match sponsorships (like certain percentage and / or up to a certain amount), or you can add some of your own gold as a donation when you send the charity/quest the collected sponsorships. This isn't to say that you can't sponsor yourself with a mule, but you should not be qualified for any incentives you're offering (no matter the account), especially if there's a raffle incentive.

Q. Do I have to wait to send sponsorships until the end of the event?
No. Waiting to send the gold is to make sure that the nudist finishes their 14 days of nudity. If they are disqualified and you've finished the trade with them, who knows what will happen to that gold even if we tell the nudist to give it back. It's based on trust between the nudist and sponsor. You can add up all of your sponsorships and put them in a trade with a mule account, don't accept it, and then cancel it when the event ends to get the gold back; you can send trades to the nudists early and then not finish the trade until the event is over; etc. Ultimately, it's what you're comfortable with, but the sponsorships aren't due until the individual nudist completes the event.

Q. Can I wear fur-lined undies / swimwear etc?
A. Nope. The idea of this event is to look as new as possible. Soft underwear is only allowed because it is plain and fits in with the default underwear shape... Males have since gotten more choice in boxers that fit the default underwear shape. The Snowflake Boxers were added as an exception later since it gave both genders a bit more choice. And no starter clothes either - the bare essentials.

Q. Can I change underwear during the event?
A. Yes, you can switch around underwear (as well as posing) as long as it's in the 'okay' list below.

Q. Does the underwear have to match?
No. You can wear any combination of undergarments as long as it's (repeat with me) in the 'okay' list below. Pink bra & Purple panties. Crossed Bra & Blue Snowflake Boxers. Up to you.

Q. Okay, so I got the 'no accessories', but what about skins?
Human skins only. Any other skins are not allowed. No zombies, no vampires, no centaurs, etc. If you do not want to remove your skin, you're welcome to use a mule with human skin instead.

Q. What about hairs, eyes, and facial expressions?
You can change those as long as they are from the Salon or Avatar expressions options. You cannot wear items that have hair / wig poses, so the same goes for items with eyes or other facial features - you can't equip them.
