Ever feel that the word "mainstream" is too mainstream?

3nodding A friend and I were discussing mainstream issues and thought, "Hey, the word 'mainstream' is way too mainstream!" So we started making up words to describe "overused" - this one in particular had a ring to it: "Regesclairon"

"The word 'mainstream' is too regesclarion."

So what do you guys think? Awesome? Too long? Too short? Have a better word?

Your thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I think this is not news and is better suited for a discussion forum.
My observation over the years is any 'new' word people move to ends up getting overused in turn so it does not really matter.
