I think the best answer to your question depends on how you define "love"
Is it something that makes you happy? Is it something that brings joy or euphoria? Is it a certain emotion brought on by objects animals or other people? In my opinion it is very possible to love more than one person at a time, though it certainly can make life difficult especially for committed relationships

Love and in love with are different to me? In love is passion and butterflies and genuine joy. Love is more of an ease when you're with them, and a feeling of being supported and supporting them.
