well, since xp is discontinued a question pops into my head. What are they gave do with all of the already made xp CD's and CD keys?
1. Threw them in a landfill? 2. make a pretty CD callige? 3.play Frizbee? 4. Build a massive zombie cannon and use the CD as projectiles to cut the zombies head off? |

I think XP is still going to be sold with the small low cost PCs (like the eee PC), so I think that's where they'll end up.

All of the above. blaugh At the shop I work in, we already do all of the first three on a regular basis with our old discs. Most likely, they'll all end up being destroyed so that people can't use them. After an OS has been officially discontinued, retailers technically aren't supposed to sell the discs anymore, so at that point they can do whatever with them. Mostly, they just get destroyed. sad Personally, I'm all for Frisbee and zombie cannons. |
