here is mine, its usually faster than this, I usually get about 1Mbps at my house

Wifi is great in the home, but a land line to the door wins every time.

My speed test results (clearwire wireless). I'm kind of at how low my ping times are compared to many of yours, especially since I'm about 3 miles away from my nearest tower.

Wow, I am so sorry.

Why? It's the only cable provider in the area (and large swathes of Australia) and Telstra aren't terrible.

I am 5 miles from Alltel's nearest EVDO tower, it reaches farther than the clearwire, but yeah the ping is a little higher, but it sure beats Satellite and dial-up, which are my only other options

well, though mine may be slower, I have one benefit all of you don't, mine is called Mobile Broadband, I have High Speed Internet almost everywhere I go, not just at home

Really, I am sorry you have to endure your entire country's internet connectivity and data policies. Don't get me wrong, I've been to Australia and I love it. But internet access is a freakin' crime there.

Your continent should be spending tax dollars securing more lines in and developing better satellite link technologies rather than a superhuge firewall to "protect children" from "pornography". Especially given how the entire effort is a kind of thinly veiled rehash of the typical anti-asia-major/indonesian racism that is so prevalent.

think about how many wifi hotspots you have between Little Rock, Arkansas and Tampa, Florida, on the long stretches of highways and stuff, there are none, see I have internet there
