The new iPad

Anybody planning on getting this or are you going to wait for the next one?

As for me, I'll probably be getting this. Though I'm a bit disappointed that it looks exactly the same as the iPad 2. I was hoping that the screen edges would be a bit smaller but eh, I'm still pretty excited to get this!

As a mac enthusiast I'd like to point out that the mac fans pre-ipad were very disappointed in the designs. The aesthetic look is similar to the older ones but inside the specs are actually very different. When it comes to mac computers you'll not see much different aesthetically pleasing designs but the features are keeping up to date with the latest available technology that they can come out with and release.

My suggestion is to choose an flip screen laptop that also works as a laptop. The price difference from the ipad is not that far out and would allow you to run more programs and not specifically apps.

Though with the differences in systems it may actually be easier just to get a tablet whether its apple or not. Price and personal preferences determines if the system is worth it.

Yeah, I agree. I was really disappointed that they didn't change the look at all nor do they seem to call this an actual iPad3. It's basically the same thing that happened with the iPhone 5 only they just called it the iPhone 4S. Pretty lame in my opinion.

Double the screen dimensions, More than double the processing power, Possibly more RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE... I'd say more than nothing changed wink Oh, and maintaining the same battery life of 10 hours, and 9 hours on 4G.

Some people buy Apple products because of the aesthetics and design, and not so much on the tech specs. From the macbook air to the Mac Pro, the design is unmatched in the industry. (Personal opinion, of course) But this isn't a mac vs PC thread, or an Android versus iOS thread.

Yeah, I bought the iPad when it first came out, same for the iPad 2.
I've decided that I only need the 16gb version, especially with iCloud. 16GB, White, Verizon 4G version for me!

I'm thinking about getting this, I'm a web developer so It would be nice to try my sites on it. The resolution is a nice touch I think that might get me to buy it. I hope if ios6 comes out that they will let us update to it without having to jailbreak it.
