Alright. So I want to get into Podcasting (as do many others). Don't know what Podcasting is? Google it. It's like a little radio station for mp3 players with downloadable episodes and so on. So I was thinking, "Why don't I create my own program?". So.. I am. I just need some (actually alot of) help. Contact me Via AIM for email.
So the program will record audio (Playback as well, along with built-in filters), fetch XML feeds, play media (audio only), export in most audio formats, EQ, upload to FTP function, audio editing (such as fading), a directory, and (the coolest part) have actual buttons to play preset audio clips, such as an opening song, closing song, start/stop bg. music. Inclue a searchable music library, and so much more.
Of course, this will take alot of work, and doesn't have to be opensource.
But I dunno, maybe I'm dreaming big.

(Oh yea, I know some PHP, HTML, I'm a graphic designer.. so maybe this can be a learning experience as well.)
