That's a bummer. The Mac Mini's motherboard just happens to conform (or nearly conform) to Nano-ITX specs. It would have been nice to see some x86 conversions of that chassis with fully functional hardware. Remeber, the CN400 northbridge has MPEG2 and 4 acceleration, so if you purchased a 7200 RPM 2.5" HDD to replace the 5400/4200 RPM units that come stock, you could have quite possibly the sexiest HTPC ever to grace a living room.


Speaking of that, floating around somewhere on the net (I think it is that site in fact) someone got a prototype Nano-Itx and used it to build a Mac-Mini-PC biggrin
