Ipod won't Sync, please help ?

So just 5 or so minutes ago I plugged in my Ipod Touch (4th Gen) into the computer. It tried the sync but then a message saying the following:

"ITunes failed to sync to '(My Name)'s Ipod' because of a session failure"

Or a message something along those lines. I searched up on the computer any ways to fix this and it said to put my Ipod into recovery mode. So I did but after it 'recovered' and everything it still won't Sync. I'm getting really nervous because now my Ipod Touch is completely empty (no Songs or Apps, although they are still in ITunes) but it just won't sync ! Any help is appreciated.

Try powering off your iPod then turning it back on. You power it off by holding the sleep button until it asks you to "Slide to power off". Slide that and it will shut down. Push the sleep button again and it will reboot.
