Probably going to be more fragile than the previous one, which will fall apart if you so much as fart on it.

To be quite honest I prefer to not have my usage constrained to what Apple thinks I want. iTunes for Windows is terrible, doesn't even work for Linux and the designers need to go back to school.

Apple are just terrible assholes who make you pay to put your apps in their store and can take them down without even telling you why. That's just rude on any level.

They make nice computers and their OS is nice but their i-crap line is overpriced toot with forced obsoletion. I will decide when it's time for a new phone, not some overpaid, suited executive.

another premium smart phone for the elite
iPhone 6 on iOS 8 is optimized when you use a Mac, as I do. OS Yosemite will allow the Mac and the iPhone to communicate, allowing a user to start and finish projects or emails, texts, etc. on either platform in real time. Android offers little to no cross platform communication in real time in the way that Apple intends the iOS 8 and OS Yosemite to be.

It is a fallacy to reject Apples upgrades as gimmicky or something not worth investing in, however, there intention is to universalize platforms and create a unity between smartphones and computers and this is especially helpful for anyone in Graphic Design, Media, Ministry & several other industries.

Android does indeed retain a large portion of the market and that's mainly due to flooding the market with a different Android device every 6 months and Google allowing anyone to use the Android OS, but just because you have a larger market share doesn't make it better, as I recall, Microsoft owns most of the PC market, but that doesn't make it better than Linux or OS X, in fact, it isn't and has more holes than Swiss cheese. Microsoft does have good software like Windows Server 2008, 2012 which allow for network scalability and allow a basic IT specialist to use it, but the best thing about free market is that someone will build something better, i.e. Linux. Which is steadily increasing its market share as a server application.

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus will change the expectation of what a smartphone should do, which as described above should have been the case from the start for any smartphone.

People will complain about price and how expensive it is, but you're still paying in excess of half a grand for any high end smartphone without a contract, smartphones are still expensive regardless. My Asus PC has more power than any smart will have for the next 5+ years and was $100 more than a Samsung GS5. ALL high end smartphones are "premium smartphones for the elite". It's silly to propose anything else.
it looks as big as an s4

over priced and overhyped phone, like all the other iPhones. The one thing I've always liked about the iPhone though, is the camera.

I used to care about this kind of stuff, but in the end, if you can use the OS, use apps you need, and more importantly....call and text. That's all you need. I'm tired of phones getting bigger, and having functionality closer to a computer.

I don't think it's that great, and my friend who bought it said she regrets it. I have the 4S right now, and I'm leaning towards an Android phone because the iOS simply isn't doing it for me. I really want to be able to put whatever files I want on my phone. I can't do that with this.
