Last week I overclocked my brother's i7. Technically you could call me a hacker because I modified a company's product to do things not intended by the producerr. In this case, I adjusted the clock speed to perform faster.

Computer hackers are usually contributing to society as system administrators (google 'Kevin Mitnick'), software programmers, or just working on opensource code.
