Would you mind doing a guide on putting .gif images into a image?


I have a cloud shape (used a cloud brush >_> wink and I want to put a gif image in it rather than a still picture. I tried Alpha to Select and Paste Into, but that doesn't work. At the most I get the .gif image fitted in the shape, but it's just as a regular picture. @_@

I'm not the best person to explain how gifs work -- I just half-learned the other day myself.
Like, I was able to do this by using like -- thirty three layers. But.. er.. it would be very hard for me to try and explain. @ A @;; Basically.. er.. Layer one will be the first image, layer two will be what it changes to, and if you save it as a .gif animation, it SHOULD work, but you may want to play around with delays and whatnot, and, honestly, when I learn how to do so, I will let you know. ._.;; (/fail)

Ah, really? The picture examples work perfectly fine for me. I just checked. o^o;;;

This may sound a bit stupid but...what are you using to unzip the brush files?

Oddly enough, I don't need to unzip the brush files -- or at least the one I had. I download them, double click the folder as shown on the bottom, and it opens my brushes. I just move them over and they work find. n-n

o1 || Make a selection
o2 || Right click
o3 || Hover over Edit
o4 || Slide down to Stroke Selection
o5 || Click
o6 || You should get a new window.
o7 || Adjust the line width (I recommend using 1 or 2 px)
o8 || Click on the 'Line Style'
o9 || Click the drop box of the 'Dash preset'
1o || Use the one you like -- in this case, short dashes
11 || Don't forget to choose whether you want to use a solid colour or pattern for the strokes
12 || Press 'Stroke'

You should get something like these strokes:

Let me redo that for you.

o1 || Have your banner in the middle of some 'white space' so it can be expanded upon.
o2 || Evenly select your banner
o3 || Select > Grow > 3 px (You can change it if you like)
o4 || Click OK
o5 || Right click > Edit > Stroke Selection
o6 || You should get a new window.
o7 || Adjust the line width (I recommend using 1 or 2 px)
o8 || Click on the 'Line Style'
