i love advice.
i downloaded GIMP forever ago and never used it.
picnics gone and i guess i got the motivation.
sorry, that's spelled wrong cuz this thing automatically corrects but i'm too lazy to correct it, even though i just typed this all out.
requires moving my hand from keyboard to clicker if you get me.

actually, i wonder if they make like 100 sized brushes.
you know how they do that tiny text?

see, i can easily do a larger banner, but look at this measly s**t.

and jeeze.
i REALLY need to get better at corner graphics and get non-flowy brushes and more like thick, rounded and squared ones XD

I think there might be...
You'd probably have to make the cut out,
Fill in the color,
Duplicate the layer and move it slightly so the previous layer is somewhat visible,
Making that layer a slightly different color.

Oohh, I think I know what you mean.
But, I believe it's like what Elizabeth said, but I know that in Photoshop you can move the drop shadow around and can get the same effect. I'll go playing with it after I get a few posts up for my characters ! (/gotten so behind due to being sick)
