It comes off a bit harsh at times, but Cracked does put the words together on page.

The one thing I would love to stress most though is that an old computer can't just "go as fast as it used to" magically with the new software you put on. Overhead and all the data people save just don't stand up to static hardware performance, and I think this is something plenty of people struggle to grasp.

Mind you, competent hardware can stay generally fast longer, but the fact that some people think the 10$ POS they lifted off a dump will run like a new computer with a magic wand wave is hilarious.
