And I've owned four (jesus, four, really?) iPhones and had no problems not caused by PEBCAK. In general iOS devices are pretty solid, I'd be interested to know what your 'glitches' were, on each device, because apart from general iOS limitations, I run into problems only about as rarely as I run into problems on any other device, from any manufacturer - not bloody often.

Also, as a proper answer, I doubt it. OSX is much more mature than iOS, and most of the systems it runs on are very stable. With a faster release cycle comes fewer grand, sweeping changes to the core anyway, so the stability we have now with Lion is a good indication of what to expect with Mountain Lion, minus Gatekeeper, of course.

The 3rd gen Nano I had would reset on me constantly, regardless of what I was doing. If I'm in the middle of a song, it would randomly go blank, and reboot. The same thing happened with my brother's.

My 1st gen shuffle would glitch out occasionally, and say I had no songs on it. The same with my second gen.

My second gen Itouch would have a glitched display. It would be off center. The same with my 1st gen.

You're probably right about the OSX vs the iOS, but meh...I'm not too concerned. People will like what they like, and they have that right. Apple wouldn't have it's stock so high, if they weren't selling good products. 3nodding
