i have a problem i keep getting weird pop up like local dating and such and i cant go to rally, town, zomg or play any games.

I've just been browsing Gaia here ( yesterday, October 25, no other tabs open, I had a new tab open up when typing a message to someone, going to satelliteclean.com. I closed the tab, and my AVG had informed me that this was a scanner exploit. I use firefox 2.X, and I added Satelliteclean.com to my list of exceptions in my Adblock Plus, which is a blocking tool.
The only activity yesterday on my adblock was when I was on a page with an advertisement. I'm not sure which ads they were anymore, it hasn't happened yet today. Looking at the forum to see what is wrong with aquariums, and what do I see on the right side???
  advertising 1000s of hot girls???? So you know I had to click the link to see if my son would be looking at something inappropriate. Did you know he can get a free trial to watch hot russian girls who will show him videos that will leave him breathless???  THANKS GAIA. REAL appropriate. |

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but this is the best place I can think of.
Today I updated to firefox 3.5.4. Now every time an add tries to load from ec.atdmt.com firefox freezes. I don't know if this is a firefox problem or a problem with the add server. |

I'd like to report the "Yes on 1" Ads on Gaia. They refer to a proposed bill in Maine to repeal gay marriage. voting "yes" will get rid of gay marriage in Maine.
Now, I know it's a political standpoint, but it's not law yet and it's offensive to homosexuals, and does hinder my enjoyment of the sight to a big enough degree, me being of a different sexuality. mahi poi no ka oi @almost all above: I'm not sure if you people actually read the stickies about these things, but in a dev's words: Sagger-AT3 Every once in a while you might see an ad on Gaia that is inappropriate (non PG-13 or worse), intrusive ads that contain malicious content, ads for services that violate Gaia's Terms of Service, etc. And according to gaia ToS: ToS Prohibited Conduct -- BY USING GAIA ONLINE YOU AGREE not TO... ...intentionally interfere with the operation of Gaia Online or any Member's enjoyment of it This is a completely legitimate argument and you can attempt to report said ad in this thread. I believe that under this principal, the ad should not be allowed. |

I've had another issue tonight while browsing either the marketplace window, or the email's window with ads. My window opened up fully on the screen with numerous pop-ups. The site was virusprotect.com, which appeared to be scareware. Closed my FF, added the exception to my adblock. Computer was fully scanned yesterday using AVG, spybot and Ad-aware with everything removed that was questionable even though I couldn't find an infection / ect. Not sure if this is a FF 2.20 specific attack. Thank you.

This is where I was redirected for the "virus scanner" thing if we were still getting it. I have google chrome. Since I don't know how to report that one I'll give you my info from my experience. It happened about 1:40-1:50pm DMST today.

I just got one of those "ZOMG YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED" pop-ups. The one that puts minimizes the screen and makes itself look like it's really from windows. Urgh. Really troublesome since I have to keep logging out of my user to get rid of it. I'm using the most recent firefox with windows XP.

I've been getting those fake Virus Alert pop ups. The most recent was Soft Barrier. This happens to me at least once a day on Gaia. If I were to down load the that software that you suggest for catching inappropriate adds...would that work to catch this?
