The same thing happened to me a lot refresing the 'Just Added' section of the Marketplace. Now my trading pass has been disabled and I wonder if it is to do with the same issue. I'm not very happy about it, especially considering the lack of information provided by Gaia as to why the trading pass was blocked and how long it will take to resolve.

I thank you in putting up this thread as a response to all the commotion and yes i think the way this alert is popping up has increased, i've been only going on gaia for a limited amount of time lately because of recent events in RL (;P good ol acronyms) but i think the sudden change happened before July 19 in my memory.

I had been on Gaia for almost 2 years and i remember revieveing one in october or so last year but non since then untill recently, my activities haven't changed other than the fact that i now have a faster internet provider and that i'm only strolling though the site a little faster to then recieve this...

For me it most commonly occurs on my dress up avi page, MP, and PM's

rarely on forums or any other thing, i believe i've gotten it once on a landing page but that's about it when it comes down to where i get these, the severity of the cool down has gotten my locked out for more than 1 hour+ so i found this quite frustrating

I got mine in the market place my invo my dressing my avi my home page and talking to my buddys some times this happends alot im NOT A BOT so it hurts my feeling calling me a bot!

I'd like to add about the whole 'refreshing page' thing. When I go to exchange bugs/inks, whenever I complete one exchange and click the button to go back to the regular page and exchange more bugs/inks it tells me to not refresh the page.

I don't ever refresh my pages, I always click back. This may be why I keep getting hotshot messages?

weird how rare of a thing to get well we now know gaia needs to get ride of this message i mean would a bot be able to read that message? i mean it will keep refreshing again and again idk much about bots and all so idk how they work but thats what my friends think

I first got the slow down message on Friday while I was buying in the MP. I did have several tabs open, but was not refreshing, nor do I have any kind of toolbar or other gizmo like that. Since then, I have found it almost impossible to do anything at Gaia for more than a few minutes before I get the 'slow down" message. I am NOT REFRESHING at all. It usually happens while I am changing pages at the MP, but the last time I was looking at my own inventory when it shut me down. I am afraid to do much of anything at Gaia until someone figures out what is happening.

Maybe, I don't know how bots work either. And I also always have multiple tabs open. One for PMs/comments, one for guilds, one for MP, one for subbed threads.

I got to play about 20 minutes this afternoon before I got shut down while shopping at the MP.

I wish I could be more exact, but here goes what I know.
Has happened 5 times withing the past 3 days.
First time I had to wait 10 minutes, second a half hour, third/fourth/and fifth times I had to wait a whole hour.
Has happened in the forums, in my guild, and in the market place.
Last time was yesterday in my guild at around 1 in the afternoon.

If It happens to me again, which I'm pretty sure it will with my surfing habits, I'll post the exact information.

I was treated to this warning about 40 minutes ago 9pm(ish) CET. It happened while I was browsing the monthly collectible museum. (Tried to make some sense regarding the MC hint we received).
5 minutes after the warning everything was fine again.

It's gotten pretty ridiculous, since all I've been doing is normal Gaia surfing and not clicking around/refreshing like crazy or anything. These Slow Down errors started happening sometime nearly two weeks back, but it hasn't so far been as bad as it was today.

My sister also complains getting locked out once on the Marketplace, and another time when she clicked on a shining tank on the forums to play Booty Grab. Needless to say, she's not too interested in playing anything on Gaia right now.

Also, closing browser/cleaning cache does not help.

I dont see why you people try to "Close the Browser" or clear your caches because the Database/System has just taking into account that you need to slow down...they didn't store a cookie on your computer saying that, the system itself is blocking you for however long it thinks is necessary

In the past three days Gaia Online has only let me onto my main account for approximately ten minutes. Everytime I get logged out I have to wait until the next day to be able to log in, only to be booted again for another entire day. This is complete bullshit and I would like it if I could at least access my god damn account.

This error keeps coming up whenever I preview things quickly or dress up my avatar, but it's not like I'm making hundreds of requests to the servers each minute.

It's so troublesome for me I CANNOT believe this thread hasn't had more posts in it.

I get VERY frustrated as a legitimate user to have these FALSE botting reports BLOCKING ME every goddang 4-5 browses I make on Gaia.

I made a thread not to long ago because I was blocked an hour before that thread and even more times before that.

It's scary to think a GLITCHED machine determines whether you bot or not and I want this FIXED before It starts banning legitimate GOOD users...

I can hardly browse Gaia without fearing this retarded warning message. It's almost HAUNTING.
