Sticky: Collecting Login Bugs - Stickied + Updated

Bug: Every single time I log in to this account, I type in my username and my password, then click submit. I am then redirected to the 'incorrect password' page. I must then hit the back button my browser and once again type in my username and password before submit lets me log in. I am positive I have typed the correct username and password because I have been careful to check, and this occurs 100% of the time. This has been occurring for about 2 weeks now?

OS: Windows 7

Web Browser: Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4

Extra Info:At one stage my password stopped working altogether so I had to reset my password. The bug occurred both before and after I reset my password.

I do not have this issue logging onto a different account that I use as a shop mule, it only affects this account.

I can't work out what could possibly cause this bug. It appears to be account-related or something to do with my web browser. My browser was told to remember my username but it no longer does. This started occurring at the same time as the bug, but which is the culprit (Gaia account or the web browser) and which is just affected by it, I can't tell

I use Google Chrome and it doesn't remember my password. And the same thing that ha[[ens with the Iphone happens with my E63 nokia.

As I have two issues with logging in, and will be placing them based on the Browser types.

Log-in issue:
I have 'Remember password' enabled for the browser. It's always worked, and all I had to do was double-click the Username box for a drop down menu of the passwords. For a long time now, nothing pops up when I double-click. Typing in the first letter does not work, either. Putting in the username does not have the password appear. I have to type in the password each and every time, which is rather... Tedious. Especially with it following the rule of passwords that SomethingAwful.com would place on it's users. Well, their old rule saying that it had to be 13 characters or longer, capital and lower case letters, at least one number and one acceptable symbol.

Can you imagine the headache from that?

Also, starting today, Gaia seems to be logging me out with this browser. I put in my username and password, and definitely check the 'Remember Me' box before logging in. Cookies -are- enabled. However, at some point I click around on the site, and am suddenly logged out. Even more, I'm directed to a Log In page, telling me that my username and password are invalid, and that I risk being blocked, or banned, for repeated failures.

Log-in Issue:
It's similar to above, with there being no 'double-click and receive a menu of all saved usernames.' Difference is, if I put in the first letter of a username, the ones that apply to that show up in a drop-down menu.

One day I clicked gaiaonline on my tabs, and it told me my username/password was incorrect, and threatened to ban my IP address.


My guess is that this is an automatic log in bug, because I didn't type in any user names or pass words.

I just did two successful logins. No hitches or hiccups. Which is a great leap from not being able to login at all.

Lately, when I've gone to login, I've always failed the first time. I KNOW I'm typing in my password correctly, going as far as staring at the keyboard and typing in each individual character.

Posting it in here like you said...

I use Firefox and like you said, I usually just pressed enter instead of clicking. But I do press enter the second time and it works.

EDIT: I clicked instead and I logged in first try...I guess that was why...or I was lucky sweatdrop

Right now with my main account, I can't log into gaia. I was logged on a few minutes ago but i got a weird alert and then i was logged out. when i try to get my password changed i still haven't' received an email. I want to know if this is a glitch

My account, Kevin of Jonas, seems to be virtually wiped from gaia's system...
I cannot log in using my password or anything.
My friends can't find me in their friend lists.
I found his profile, which was on the new system with a bunch of pictures, but now it appears as an Old School profile with nothing on it.
It says my birthday is 01/01...
I dunno how to get my account back or any of my items... :<

I also am having a problem with being logged out.

Today, I've had to log in four or five times over the course of five or six hours. I got online this morning, was logged in. Left the Gaia page open (as I always do) and did things in other tabs. Came back an hour later, refreshed to see what I'd missed in my threads, and was logged out. It's happened multiple times since then, both when clicking around as well as when not being active for a bit then coming back and refreshing.

I'm using firefox 3.0.15., and it's set to remember my username and password for me, but when I'm forced to re-log in, my password is already filled in, but my username is not and when I click on the username area, my list of usernames (for both main account or my mules) do not drop down the way they usually do when I click.

The not saving my username isn't that much of a problem, but the having to relog in multiple times is rather annoying, so...

Well, surprise-surprise, it actually let me log in today, but then, it's done that before only to lock me out the next day. Fishes are in frozen state for the next forever as I'm still very leery of trusting Gaia at this point with this account. My main is fine, and my guild mule is also fine ~ I use them everyday ~ on the same computer I am now using with this account ~ Windows Vista on Firefox.

As I noted earlier, this started happening after I linked with Facebook... weird. Sure wish it would be 100% back as this account is used for one of the games in our guild. Said game has been on lock down for over a month now. gonk

I've been having some of the same problems as a few people who have posted before me. I'll come into the site and automatically will get a page that tells me I'm not logged in and I have a chance of having my IP address banned. I can log in afterward, but sometime later while I'm on the site it'll log me out again. I log in a couple of times a day, and this happens nearly every time.

I hope I don't get my IP address banned. confused

WOW! I can finally login with my PSP again! Whatever you did in the last few days fixed my issue with that incorrect password error. And to use Gaia on my PSP, I just disable javascript, enable flash, login with remember me, then turn flash back off once logged in. No more login rejection error to lock me out. Now I can use most of Gaia again from my PSP like I used to. THANK YOU!
