Gaia just went completely white on me...
No doubt this happened to everyone.
I just want to know what just went down.
And if I should be concerned about security.

Happened to me too. o 3 o;
Some server might've spontaneously combusted or something.

Happened to me too. Google Chrome said it was a server error.

It's probably a server that went down temporarily due to being over heated or something.
I'm sure Gaia will come up soon with a report on what to expect and to do..
But so far, I don't think you would have to worry about your security
